I use pass, consider and recommend because when it comes time to vote I'll forget which scripts I liked and which I didn't. It happened in one OWC where I pretty much voted blind.
All read and reviewed, and given the fairly restrictive nature of the challenge there was a good variety and I thought the standard of writing was pretty good too... look forward to finding out who wrote what!
I haven't submitted but I'm reading. Read eight or nine so far - it'll take me some time. Too bad I can't vote - well, since I don't have mine in a pile.
The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Semi Final Bluecat, Runner Up Nashville Inner Journey - Page Awards Finalist - Bluecat semi final Grieving Spell - winner - London Film Awards. Third - Honolulu Ultimate Weapon - Fresh Voices - second place IMDb link... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm7062725/?ref_=tt_ov_wr
I'm going to try and read all, probably take the best part of the week to knock them out. I've been juggling my weekend as I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel for my series bible - a long time coming too.
is there a specific date your top 3 submissions need to be in by? the names are released on the 26th, but i didn't see a date for voting.
Also, was there no significance to "(Where'd that come from?)" i took that as part of the challenge.
thanks
I'd list my "work" here, but I don't know how to hyperlink.
"Career" Highlights -2, count em, 2 credits on my IMDB page. -One time a fairly prominent producer e-mailed me back. -I have made more than $1000 with my writing! -I've won 2 mugs... and a thong. (polaroids of me in thong available for $10 through PM)
Conz, there's always a generous period Don allows for reads and reviews and then he sends us via email a voting form with all entries listed, you mark with Pass, Consider, Recommend.
As for the other query I think that was to create excitement/intrigue for the challenge.
I believe this challenge came about because Janet had a horrific experience with a cab driver in NYC where the driver locked all the doors and wouldn't let her out. I said, that would make a great OWC. I guess Don thought so too.
