My antibiotics finally seem to be kicking in and I am feeling better so I'm trying to review as many scripts as I can. I've really enjoyed them for the most part, a top OWC so far. I wish I'd felt better last week, would have loved to have taken part but I have no idea what story I would have come up with!

Glad you are on the mend.

Just reading on the BBC that Uber are planning to trial self drive cars in Pittsburgh. Given that a number of OWC scripts have featured such cars bumping off their passengers, I think, if I were an inhabitant of that city, I'd probably give them a miss...

A few scripts left to go and pretty impressed with the batch overall. Many wouldn't be to my taste as films, but for the most part they've been enjoyable reads with at least one interesting idea or choice.

A few could easily be produced by the right team.

Stop the presses...there's a mug at stake?! Dang, I should've done that 'one last proof'.

I'm about 2/3 through and there are some very worthy candidates. Thanks to all and your candid observations and criticisms. I've already taken suggestions to heart and did a major re-write just to see and, behold! Something that seems worthy! Good luck to all.

Done! Got through all of them.
There's some good work in there.
And I learned a few things.
So it's all good.

Great stuff

And all for free

The beauty of the OWC

In my opinion, it's the best we can get, flaws and all

an email goes out for your top 3 picks, right?

I'd list my "work" here, but I don't know how to hyperlink.

"Career" Highlights
-2, count em, 2 credits on my IMDB page.
-One time a fairly prominent producer e-mailed me back.
-I have made more than $1000 with my writing!
-I've won 2 mugs... and a thong.  (polaroids of me in thong available for $10 through PM)

@vc_wg - because I crave attention

I'm hoping that we can rec and consider as many as we want. I think I have at least 4 recs this time around. If I can only pick 3 then I'll just go by alphabetical order.

Done - done and done.

Felt this was a really solid representation.

I ended up with 4 Recommends.

I did think that there were two scripts that did not meet the parameters of the challenge.

Thanks Don for putting this on.

4 Recommends:

Fair's Fare
Sorry, Dave
He Drives Them - Crazy
A.M.A.

3 Considers:

All the Fives
Speed Relationship-ing
Driven to Death

Well done to all the writers and I hope, votes aside, that you've written something you are happy with and that your stories find homes with producers.

A big thanks to Don for taking time out to run this thing.

I did read all of the scripts, I just decided not to comment on one or two. If you don't see my comment on your story, it means it was a pass.

Voted.

Al the best to everyone. I won't know the outcome for a couple of weeks, but I know I'm not going to be taking part.

I can't say any script blew me away, and I tend to find one or two each OWC, but some solid efforts.

As ever a tight set of criteria still leads to a variety.

Thanks Don
