I placed in the top 5 for the 72 Script Fest and the production team that chose my script ended up winning first place in the 72 Film Fest.  Here's a link to the script and film:

I hope you enjoy.

I love this, Jordan! That start bit with the extra load bit had me close to hysterics. So good

Endearing and simple for the win!
Though the car wash could use a convincing lead in.
Congrats, Jordan.

Thanks everyone.  I have to say that the whole experience was great.

Having to create a story in 72 hours, and not knowing what the criteria were going to be, was a great test of my abilities.

The director called me to go over some of the changes he had in mind which was also a great experience.  I highly recommend this competition.

Thanks for digging this up, Dustin.

Unfortunately the Script Fest part of the 72 Film Fest wasn't done this year.

A lot of the filmmakers voted to do something else because they felt confined by using someone else's script.

Oh well.  It was still nice to see my words come to life.

Quoted from Nomad
...confined by using someone else's script.

Wtf? Confined by somebody else's script. Are they script writers? You wrote for free and they had the benefit of your expertise. How are they in any way confined by a writer's script that they can change at will anyway?

Ridiculous.

Well, I hope it fails and they come back with the tails between their legs asking for real script writers again. Trouble is... they think it's easy. Until they actually get stuck in of course. I have to admit it pisses me off a little bit when people assume writing a script is easy.

I don't really write shorts any more anyway. I don't see the point in them. I'd rather write a radio play than a short. I'll be producing one of my own shorts next year then hopefully move into making features.

I know you're thinking in the same area, and from reading your work, you've definitely got something to offer, IMO.
