Just thought I'd share this bit of news since he started out here. He doesn't come around here anymore, but for us oldies, we remember when he was a regular.

This is totally amazing, but on the other hand, for those of us who have read his stuff from the early days and seen him evolve as a writer, it's not a surprise!

It's Judgement Day that's even bigger.

Bought by Warner Brothers, Executive Produced by Guy Ritchie.

Inspiration to us all, and he's promised me a follow-up interview when he's a little further on with the Guy Ritchie thing...

I knew he'd already gotten some traction on this. Nice to see it moving forward. Congrats to Matías. Maybe I'm crazy, but didn't this used to have a female main character?

Carnival always had a male lead and Judgement Day has a female lead. At least in the drafts I read. Unless my memory is playing tricks on me.

Can't wait to see your film too, Breanne!

Before it was Carnival it was a short - Three of Swords and the protag was a female.  I don't think there is much left of Three of Swords, other than the carnival setting, left in Carnival.

btw, you can check out of of Matias' other work here: http://www.simplyscripts.com/cgi-bin/search.pl?search=matiascaruso&method=exact

You need to do it quick, as most of the work is slated to come down.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks Don!

Thanks! It's in the final stages of post right now, getting sound design and music and all that. Hopefully the trailer will be released soon.

Actually, the feature draft I read, it was still called Three of Swords. It had a male lead. I don't remember the short.

Interesting thing is that Carson Reeves didn't like it at all. There are no experts out there.

Just checked and the feature draft I had also had a male lead. Guess I must have looked at the short sometime earlier.

Thank you friends for all the support. And yes, back in the day the short had a female lead. But it was a completely different story, save for the setting.

Well done Matias - I doubt I'm alone in saying to others, I shared a screenplay site with this guy!!

In fact, I have a copy of the movie poet script, three of swords.

By god he is a good writer. I read most of his short script entries - all stand out the stuff. The Doll Maker was a cracker that had a lasting effect.

One day, i look forward to going to the cinema and  watching one of your scripts on the big screen - I'll enjoy the glow of your success.

My scripts  HERE

The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Semi Final Bluecat, Runner Up Nashville
Inner Journey - Page Awards Finalist - Bluecat semi final
Grieving Spell - winner - London Film Awards.  Third - Honolulu
Ultimate Weapon - Fresh Voices - second place

Congratulations.  Mr. Z. and yes, Breanne... Always great to see "some of our own" have success.

So when can we expect to see the film, Breanne?

Not sure yet. I'm hoping it'll be out by summer. I'll definitely be promoting it when it's released, so hopefully the word will spread.

No way! I was just reading about this on BloodyDisgusting and thought 'what a fun premise!' Very exciting that it's by a writer from SS!

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing it!
