Australians speak English. This is an English-speaking site.

LC  I agree with you on that point. Just thought a site like SS, but the majority of contributors would be fellow aussies. As well as from around the World too. Don't get me wrong SS is a great site. Just thought I would throw it out there.

Patrick, welcome to SS.

There might be some sites specifically for Australians (not SS I'm sure, but some others), I don't know. There's some exclusivity to Canadian authors, that I know - on InkTip, for instance, they often ask for scripts from only Canadians. Never saw anyone asking for Australian writers - literally never.

You could ask about Australian movie summits and meet-ups - maybe these people know.

If you think there are Aussie specific things to talk about you could start your own thread in the general chat section -

Yes, welcome Patrick!

My understanding is that any Canadian company seeking to hire a non-Canadian has to demonstrate an effort to find a Canadian first. (Citation: I interviewed for a job in Canada)

That's technically the law for the US if you seek to bring that person into the US to do the work, but maybe for Canada it includes a wide swath of remote work as well? (Citation: wild unfounded speculation on my part)

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)

Additional scripts are listed here.
