Hello guys thought I'd say hello! I've ran a video production company for 10 years or so in Thailand, although I'm from the Uk. I've been knocking out corporate videos mostly for the hotel industry for years as well as music videos, documentary (short) and recently some TV commercials. This all pays the bills but what I really want to do is shoot short films, tv series and hey maybe features eventually!

So my big weakness is writing, I realize I'm never going to be a top writer which is one reason I'm on this forum. My other weakness has always been finding willing talent to star in my short films which I've now got a selection of.

So I really want to find a short story I can turn into a short film so firstly should say I don't understand how acquiring the script works. I want to produce a short film because... I suddenly realized I don't know why I want to produce a short film, call it a burning desire I've had for years and what I believe is my future!

So I hope anyway that either scripts are not too expensive as my first short will not be intended for profit or even a writer who's willing to share the script, just to see it turned into a film.

So about what I have to offer... Any maybe someone has a script that would match


My equipment firstly, Ursa Mini Pro Camera, Netflix approved and used partially on the Three Billboards movie so it's legit. I have all kinds of lighting etc to produce absolute world class quality. Just cause it's my first short doesn't mean it will be amateur, quite the contrary as I want to show I can give literally, Hollywood standard.

Location: Phuket, Thailand. Tropical destination, palms, rainforests, tropical islands, beaches, sparkling blue waters, hilly green landscapes, dodgy tropical bars, Thai Kickboxing, Asian Mafia.

Actors Available: 2 British, Suited for Cockney Gangster type(not me!)
Handsome Half French half Asian Male 24 yo
Beautiful Thai Girl (many)
Older American Male (50s)

Actors generally have an odd bunch of mixed accents!

So I hope to get some response from this. I should note I'm open to paying for scripts if it's really perfect or even if someone was interested in making something custom... I'd just rather avoid it as firstly I want to do a none profit project although if we won a competition or something that would be great and obviously shared I actually have some concepts I'd like to shoot but I just can't do my ideas justice by writing myself.

The script "Lost in Hon'yuku" is currently set in Japan. It could easily be changed to Thailand and could work with the actors you have with some slight modifications.

A scene in the script calls for a temple as a location; no issues finding those in Thailand.

Logline: When a retired assassin takes on one last job, getting her man is the least of her problems.

It's a dark comedy.

My short Atolls Edge may be something you would be interested in. It's focused on a Korean soldier who finds herself marooned on an island defending an object and there's a nice twist at the end.  It features combat/martial arts.
