Sweet.  And remember, I'm going to post nothing but positive, warm, fuzzy feedback to every contributing writer.

The drum drum makes me believe the theme will be "A Tale of Two Drummers:  Pete Best and John Rutsey discuss their careers that could have been".

The timing could work out for me too.

I'm in the middle of a feature...
But already have to take three days off for Sherwood Oaks meetings.

So, I'm pulling up short right before the big late second act action push.
Which for me, is a nice place to break away from a first draft for a couple days.

And those meetings end Friday night.
So, the timing of all this is promising.

Do non-members actually submit to other OWCs?

'Artist' is not a term you should use to refer to yourself. Let others, and your work, do it for you.

Yes, all OWCs used to be open entry.  It's only recently that we've had board only OWCs.  The October OWC, however, is always open entry.

We haven't had a full on pure comedy theme since I've been on SS...

That would be nice

That's because nothing is ever funny if you call it comedy - which makes comedy scripts a drag to read.

It all depends on what the subject and genre is.
Hopefully it has nothing to do with found footage or sex tapes.

Still looking forward to this and far more interested in this thread than another....

Having thought about it I think I will change my guess to something about music. The drums, the drums.

I wonder, maybe choose a favourite song and write a script inspired by it. We shall see, I just hope it's a theme i understand!! Some previous themes would have been a real challenge.

Oh and please, no vampires etc

My scripts  HERE

The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Semi Final Bluecat, Runner Up Nashville
Inner Journey - Page Awards Finalist - Bluecat semi final
Grieving Spell - winner - London Film Awards.  Third - Honolulu
Ultimate Weapon - Fresh Voices - second place

A Vampire Down Under Musical.

Any submissions that include Stevie wearing his infamous short jean shorts from the 80's banging on a drum will receive special consideration.

Actually, we had one five years ago.

If the thread title is being considered as a clue to the content of the OWC, it should perhaps be pointed out that it is a reference to Mr. Shakespeare...

THIRD WITCH
A drum, a drum!  Macbeth doth come.
