I really liked the first one but it looks like they've gone all Hollywood on us with this new installment...and it looks like it's gonna suck.

Trailer looks okay to me.  But then again a good trailer will do that...

I enjoyed the first one for its fresh take on the genre and more thoughtful approach -- though that could be read as more a result of scant resources during production.  Despite the larger budget this time round hopefully they've retained some of what worked for the original.

That said I'm expecting a very different film -- though one that'll probably get my money.

This is all Vertigo films and no Gareth Edwards -- I've just checked some of the IMDB feedback on this and it says it all ... and anyway, I don't think think Monsters amounted to much more than an impressive production on its resources... time to cash in methinks.

I'll watch this. Loved the first one.
And a guy I work with is housemates with Sam Keeley, who stars, so I'll have to see how he does.

Loved what GE did with 'Monsters.'

Recognized all his newly trademark fingerprints ALLLLL over 'Godzilla 2014.'
Was severely not impressed with the stupid premise, 90% human side story telling, and "less is more" BS.

I will wait for this to come out on DVD, mainly for the BTS extras.
