who do you think Marvel should cast?

I have such discussions with many film friends, and for the unititiated, let's streess that in this instance Caprtian Marvel is not Shazam but the Mrs. Marvel / Carol Danvers character.

First of all, I personally think that Benidict Cumberbatch is nowhere near the part, although he was considered. It's a tough call because he is such an (overrated) fan favorite. When Joaquin Pheonix dropped out of the running, suddenly it seemed Cumberbatch was the go-to guy. But I must confess- if by the end of next week, Cumberbatch isn't 100% confirmed, it ain't him. Pheonix, I believe became awfully darned close.

In fact, I totally belive we might be in for another Captian America type situation. Before First Avenger, a lot of fan sites and news sites circled around many actors, but not one of them suggested Chris Evans as even being on a short list - then it was revealed he was cast early in the process.

Daniel Bruhl is cast as "a villian" in Captian America Civil war; it is rumored that he is also the adversary for Doctor Strange. But I'll put him here as my first guess after all...it is a Civil war storyline being adapted. "Doctor Strange" could be a 'villian' depending on which side of the fence he's on! Oops I did not just say that!
