I don't drive but if I did I imagine I'd listen to the same CDs in my car as I do when I write...

Arcade Fire - Funeral
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs - Fever To Tell
Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

If I could find my System Of A Down albums they would be on the list too, but I can't, so they're not.

For about two pages of this thread I haven't heard of a single artist. You making them up to appear cool or something? Two can play that game! Oh well, I'm getting old and boring.

Now, in my car I have handful of CD's and I like to think they are varied but clearly not "different" enough. I have;

Brahms requiem - fan of requiems. Second movement - if you ever want to hear menace, that's it.
Eminen - last album, rather like that. Will post a separate chat question on one song.
Professor green
Cold Play - a cold rush
Depeche mode 101 live tour
I won't mention the others 'cos they are really dull and mainstream

Oh, and....Kids like to party hits for Girl's..... Who said I can't get Jiggy with it!

My scripts  HERE

The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Semi Final Bluecat, Runner Up Nashville
Inner Journey - Page Awards Finalist - Bluecat semi final
Grieving Spell - winner - London Film Awards.  Third - Honolulu
Ultimate Weapon - Fresh Voices - second place

Have to agree with ya, Reefer, I don't have a clue who the vast majority of these bands/artists are either.  I'm far from mainstream, and will always be.

Collective Soul - Seven Year Itch
Stone Temple Pilots - home made CD mix
Foo Fighters - the new one

January was very Grungey.

I think I'll do some British Invasion next month.
Beatles, Stones, the Who, Zeppelin...

Haha, maybe we should add a YouTube clip (or link) so we can get an idea of what everybody's listening to in their cars. Hell, we might even hear something we like.

I'll go first.

Or maybe not, based on those 2 stinkers from our Dutch friend, Mr. Sniper.

If I listened to either of those songs in my car, I think I'd purposely smash into something.

The first one is great when you're driving real fast. Trust me.

I've been pretty boring lately -

- Zeppelin I and III (if III is not one of your favorite Zep albums, then I can't talk to you)
- Deep Purple's "Burn" (love Coverdale's vocals on it and its bluesy-metal fusion)
- Billy's "Piano Man" (did you know you can't abbreviate Billy Joel just by using his initals? I just found that out.)
- Queen's debut (I was missing Brian's solo on "Great King Rat")

- and the proposed soundtrack to Grand Avenue. Yeah, I know it's a shameless plug, but I burned all the songs we want and I keep it in my car CD player...

Electric Wizard's Black Masses played at full volume with the bass all the way up. Best band drugs ever happened to, hands down. Last time I checked, The Rolling Stones didn't have a song called Satanic Rites of Drugula.

That and a ton of unlistenable death metal. Keep it rock n' roll!

Ive been traveling so much, that I have been listening to audio books to pass the time.

Completed:

Einstiens Dreams
How to win friends and influence people (still VERY relevent stuff in there)

And the music jammed in that thing is:

Mercy Me - Best of

By the way. It's been a while when I was last here. I hope everyone is doing well. When things settle down with my new position, I will get back to reads/reviews.

I owe one person out there a read, I know it and I promice to get to it. It's just that I have been living in hotels for the last month and will be for 2 more months. This position better be fucking well worth it. LOL.

Mark, that's way beyond a midlife crisis.   Let's hope that phase doesn't hit...
