Where you post your work?  Like Dena - http://www.denamckinnon.com/ or Like Darren - http://darrentomalin.webs.com/ or Marnie https://brainfluffs.com/

If you do, please add your website info here in this thread and I'll review it for inclusion on the main page left column at: http://www.simplyscripts.com/#writers

Your website should be screenwriting or art related.  At this point, I'm going to steer away from facebook pages.  If you are unsure, post the link anyway and I'll take a look at it.

I also run my own server and can host if I feel like it. I already host several sites. So if any writers, readers, film-makers need a reliable host, we can figure something out. I'm pretty good at everything aside from web design.

Don,

In addition to screenwriting, I have also started doing shorts as a way to better understand and improve the screenwriting process. I started my own YouTube channel to serve as a venue. I think this may qualify and did not think about adding both the short script and the channel link. My latest short (3min27sec) URL is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-jw8sZjVCg. I can also provide the actual script I used to shoot the film so that members and guests can see the script and what the final outcome was. Does this fall within the guidelines?

Respectfully,

Iancou

Iancou,

I'd be happy to host/link to the script.  You can submit it via http://www.simplyscripts.com/submit_your_script.html

I generally reserve front page postings of movies and trailers to works that have been workshopped on SimplyScripts prior to production.

I'm getting my movie site going now... I've got movie reviews, tv reviews, trailer analysis, casting rumours like my choice for THE JOKER... oh and some passionate articles from everything like TARANTINO's proposed retirement to the Toronto Raptors whooping the rest of the NBA...

highlights include tv reviews of the UK show THE FALL and NEWSROOM... movie reviews  lately from THE CROW to INTO THE STORM and COHERENCE. You can find these with the menu button thingies at the site.

Oh and maybe you might like my empassioned review of FAULT IN OF STARS called BOYS DO CRY.

Thanks...

Isn't there any way of categorising your content? As it is at the moment, having to scroll down, it's a little shitty. What you need is a menu somewhere where one can select articles that sound interesting to them and go straight to them with a click of the mouse. From the look of it, you have some interesting stuff on there, but I don't want to scroll past shit loads of basketball to get to it.

Heh guys... I've pumping away at my website... you can navigate with those buttons in the top corner, there you can do a search or pick categories.

here are some newer article links...

https://slipthroughmovies.wordpress.com/2015/04/11/deconstructing-daredevil-episode-2/
https://slipthroughmovies.wordpress.com/2015/04/16/new-trailer-star-wars-episode-7-nerd-review/

https://slipthroughmovies.wordpress.com/2015/04/08/the-voices-internal-sunshine-of-the-spotted-mind/

I also have a site for my screenplays. I've adapted them into an experimental PICTUREplay format, with music and images as you scroll the script.    Http://thelastfountain.wordpress.com

These screenplays are in chapters. I have a few that are posted on here, like goofy TV show FOX & DOG, scifi SLIPTHROUGH, the 7WC from SS - VOW TO KILL, my version of STAR WARS EPISODE VII.   A couple of OWC shorts and a sexy thriller, I didnt post here yet.

and I have a site where two generations of movie nerds (from 80s and 2000s) review movies and battle it out over trailers and new rumors.    Http://taleoftwodans.com

http://taleoftwodans.com/2015/04/15/the-top-10-movies-of-all-time-nuff-said/

I forgot to mention that I'm on TWITTER too. I'm still getting used to social media.

@slipthroughnerd

my reviews have actually got noticed and passed along by some surprising creative talent

I loved Canadian miniseries BOOK OF NEGROES, costar Lyriq Bent (Chakura)
I was impressed by Oscar nominated BEYOND THE LIGHTS . The director quoted me & passed on my review
the behind the scenes team of upcoming EVEREST at Tale of Two Dans (also 2 DAREDEVIL actors)
Black List screenwriter for THE VOICES
And the AGE OF ADELINNE twitter team

Hit me up with a Tweet or follow me to get updates when I post, with some random jokes and latest breaking movie news (for nerds)

Thanks for the space to shamelessly plug.

My reviews here on Simply Scripts really helped me develop. As did all the great advice found here from fellow enthusiastic writers.

psst, pass it on

Nice Wordpress site. Did you get those Oneco guys to upload it? I can set up websites too, but I wouldn't do it professionally. Too much of a headache from customers that have likely never heard of ftp... then they get their own website to break. WP is great software though. It's my software of choice too because it's really easy to use. Are you maintaining the site yourself now or is that all included in the price?

I work in software development plus I've done a lot of stuff on websites, so I probably could have done it myself but it would have took me ages and been messy.

I've got a friend who puts together websites for a living so he helped me put it together. I just paid for the domain name registration and gave him a bit of cash for his time.

I maintain it myself now, it's a breeze and quite fun discovering new widgets and stuff.

Thanks for the link Don!

It's all plug and play these days, the time it takes to upload through ftp is pretty much all you need.

Check out this theme, mate:

http://themeforest.net/item/jupiter-multipurpose-responsive-theme/5177775

It's a premium wordpress theme. That's what I use and I have the files if you want them (for free)? The only thing I can't (or rather, don't like) to do is website design, that does take ages... but with the themes available today, design isn't all that necessary anyway.

I haven't seen a lot writer's sites (probably none) that stands comparison to what Mark presents here; so definitely a right choice to engage his friend.

The only thing I dislike is the combination of black and red, especially at the page heading. It somehow gives a political, social critical impression as sites about investigative journalism do if you know what I mean. It just doesn't fit to the relaxed man sipping a cappuccino there.  Just think about using some more independent, unique colors representing individual personality. To be really nit-picking the "produced"-streaming-windows could be a tiny bit smaller because it appears a bit pushy when we're originally scrolling around in the first place.

Otherwise all categories look terrific and I definitely check all of the output there. Thumb up.

Looks awesome, I'll defintely consider these when giving my site a spruce up. Still getting used to it at the moment and playing around with stuff.

Thanks Alex! I'll probably change the theme design around as I go along. I'm still playing around with the design, will probably never stop!

Only issue I have now is the server keeps going down, I'm going to have to look at changing my host as it seems very unreliable.

Kicking this back into play. Just found out that MarkItZero has a website - http://www.jbarronscripts.com

I posted his website to http://www.simplyscripts.com/#writers

Either post here or PM me your screenwriting (or art related) website and I'll get a link up.

Hi Don,

Not to totally inundate you with yet 'another' website listing… but, if you could add the below link to the posted list when you get a chance, that would be ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’!

https://romiuslori.wixsite.com/obfuscation

Thank you!

Thank you, Don, for getting all these sites on SS! I’ve had more hits on my Wix account over the past two weeks (since posting the link) than over the past 2 years alone!

Looks impressive, Paul, lots of work over the years to be proud of!

My (site) is set up more like a trip to a carnival, circus, or a freak-show if you will, lol.

I doubt any of those shorts would be written if I hadn't been turned onto this site by Gary. And many of the other scripts wouldn't be as good as I hope they are without the lessons taught to me by everyone here.

Thanks for checking it out Gum!

Thank you very much, Warren! I appreciate that. I use a Nikon D7500 to shoot with.

Sean,

You've been here: https://www.simplyscripts.com/original-unproduced-scripts.html#writers between Clark and Kospiah for a while.

Oops I never saw that. Well add me again on there! Make every link on the homepage direct to my website! Muahahaha.

Don,

Thanks for adding me! I'll admit, it's been a goal of mine to make that list since I joined the site.

One small thing... can you add the "e" into my last name? Knauer.

Again, thank you!!

Paul
