Hey khamanna

Out of curiosity, would you mind doing an exchange of what weve got written down so far? You will then see that yours is a bit better off than mine. Lol. I have a total of 15 pages that I consider decent.

Im a slow writer. As I mentioned, I usually keep budget in mind so Ive been eliminating fluff and keeping things low budget. At this point, Ive been tryin to write in staccato style.

In addition, as I much as I love this theme, I believe My script wont fit the criteria. For instance, my script wont make that 75 pg mark. I sent a tale to prussianmoby which was only 5 pages. If I add a bit more dialogue, 6-7.

Im going try to work on two tales tonight. But definitely one tale will be done lol.

I dont know if I will be able to submit by the deadline but Ill do my best.

I may not get the best reviews but at least its work Ive did my best on.

Gabe

Contact Mr. Blonde. Or worse case scenario Don?

On a side note: It looks like I may not be able to make the deadline. Doesn't mean that I won't submit it after. I will but at it's current state, it's not even worth it. lol. I'm a slow writer. Sorry ladies and gents.

Gabe

Just emailed Don since he's the webmaster and all, and this cuts out the middleman. This is very odd if you ask me.

It’s right after the owc so probably due to that.

No worries, Don can fix it.

I'll send you mine in two days or so.
Mine is at 71 pages right now but I'm planning to add as I reread.

So, are you saying you have a 5 pages of text and expecting to add 6-7 to it? I didn't understand that part.
Maybe you could send yours to me at your earliest and I may find a way to help somehow.

Sometimes when you get the story right it writes itself. Other times not though, but you know, maybe it's one of those cases. Anyway, the point is to complete a script. Another pair of eyes never hurt. I'll exchange deffinitely just let me reread, or it's a mess there past 35th page right now.
ANd I do think I've got time to get the ending straight. No fire. But let's see.

I actually started wriiting mine because of your cheering on the thread, Gabe - so thank you for that. I want to be of some help as well.

Hey khamanna

I meant that one of my stories is 5 pages long. If I add a bit more dialogue, I can extend it to 6-7 pgs.

I will finish this script. It’s just that it’s taking longer than expected. Depending on how tonight goes, I’ll see what happens.

I’m always there to help fellow writers out. It’s a first draft so it’s not going to be perfect but I feel mine is atrocious like the grammar and formatting lol.

Woah! Lost Darren - but that was kind of expected somewhat because Darren didn't come here that often lately.

Not entirely so. I just haven't been saying much in this specific thread.
Plus, I didn't think anybody gave a hoot.

What happened?
Well, I still have, what, six days....?

For me, the bag is half full, and the stories work better by themselves and not as an anthology.

Where's Sean?

I haven't even started yet, so I guess I'm out. A family member had just been diagnosed with CHF so that had to take priority. Sorry for not being around much.

I was going to say, Pia, that you've got a whole six days left - plenty of time for you.

And then I read the rest... So sorry to hear about that.

Sorry to hear, Pia. Hope it's all alright in the end.

Darren, yeah, you've got full 6 days! And if your stories work better as separate units - so let them be. Cloud Atlas was the same as I recall.

Mine don't work separately at all and aren't exactly horror. I think. So I pushed the parameters there. So what. I think for this kind of challenge it's okay to strain it a bit.

Gabe, I did fade out but I'm not exactly at 75 pages just yet. It's 71. Oh, and have you read The Boring Think in the other challenge? If you have - mine reads just like that one at the moment. The difference is that writer intended to write a pisser, but me - mine is all natural. A natural beauty. That's about my grammar, weird wordings you name it.
Ironically, it happens to be also the busiest week of the year for me.

Anyway, good luck to all! I'll try to sumbit via dropbox this time, so I can make changes to the script before the reads come in. I might even ask you not to read))

I know what I want in the stories, but getting it onto the page is hard for the third and fourth vignettes.

53 pages disgorged so far.

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)

Additional scripts are listed here.

Khamanna

Im up to pg 20 now with my second story. Lol. Im planning to do the same with submitting my script via Dropbox so I can do the edits easier.

FrankM

Youre better off than I am.

If I do submit this, Im blaming it on booze Lmao. (I dont drink by the way)
