I like this challenge. It's a compilation of 3-5 short horror stories. Each about 20-25 pages long. And they have a painting that sums up the story that we show at the beginning.
So now I have to come up with 3-5 short horror stories and think of a poster for each one.
Cool.
I even signed up for a free trial of Hulu to watch some episodes since I'm not familiar with the series.

To help retain your sanity, the length of your stories should likely be paced relative to the number of them. If you do five stories, you probably don't want each one to be 25 pages, if you know what I mean. Something to consider.
The series isn't very good, nowhere near as good as The Twilight Zone was.
I like the challenge too. For me, the real challenge is time. I'm currently writing another film for a friend to shoot. I'm not sure I'll be able to do this too, but I'm inspired. I've already come up with the framing device and trying to decide if I should follow a theme or something else to link the stories together.
Not a big fan of the show, myself. While TZ felt timeless (and is one of my personal favorites), NG felt dated, but I always loved the set-ups, the paintings.
Look at this from another point of view. Give the challenge a shot. If you "fail", upload the shorts you did complete into the Shorts section as their own thing.

The format of the show seemed to be for two stories to pull the weight of the show, with two-thirds of the time spent on those two stories. The other two or three stories were much shorter, almost filler between the big ones. Same could be done here, but I'm more inclined to have them weighted more equally, or make the last one the longest as a sort of climax. Then again, maybe the climax is the shortest for impact.
That sounds like another out of the box fun challenge from you, Sean. I don't know if I will participate as it's a time consuming challenge. But it's fun. but time consuming. but fun

I refuse to make things easy for everyone out there in SimplyScripts land. That said, I gave you an out with this one. Give it a shot. If you finish the feature, great. If you don't finish the feature, you probably still wrote one or two short horror scripts you can upload to the site independently. =)

Odd thing. IUt just occured tome the logline to this is gonna be a pain in the butt to write.
"A curator shows us four different stories of the macabre" Looks easy enough, until you know that's pretty lame. and it might just be the same log as five other entries.
Jordan, that's basically the premise of the whole thing, so unless I've missed something, why back to the drawing board?
I'm not partaking btw, just commenting.
Edit: Ah, okay, you mean logline. I expect they'll all be similar. Although you could sub each different story with a logline and the type of horror, be it body-horror, psychological horror etc.

I think that one might have gone over your head, Libby
I'm already working on a project just like this... only there isn't a museum or a curator, my shorts must relate to each other in some way. It's also not a spec so way more important. I'm also working on lots of other stuff so don't have time for this.
Good luck to everyone that does enter. Sounds like a good one. Shorts being put into anthologies seems to be something directors are looking for these days. The guys I'm working with are eyeing a distribution deal so there must be demand for them from viewers too.
