He sent unsolicited email to a writer asking if they needed an agent to get their screenplay optioned.

Has anyone worked with him?

I was going to post the same question.

I’ve exchanged a couple of emails with him so far... not sure what his angle is.

This is what is posted on his Script Revolution profile

Industry Professional, film script agents whose role is connecting screenwriters with producers, movie studios and movie Financiers. Currently we help unsigned Screenwriters pitch to Hollywood and other film markets.

From what I can see on IMDB, Facebook, Linkedin etc he has no experience whatsoever relating to the entertainment industry, at least nothing that seems to have left a footprint anywhere.

Not sure how he can help unsigned Screenwriters pitch to Hollywood when he's not living in Hollywood, or even the USA, and I assume he's not a licensed Agent either?

I'd be wary.

I love the internet.

Someone by that name has a profile on Scriptrevolution with a picture of themselves.

That name and picture combination has led me to find out that they are based in Nigeria, attended Benson Idahosa University, Benin City, and currently works for the University of Agriculture, Umudike as a systems analyst (according to the university website anyway)

He has written 3 songs that I can find hosted on the internet.

I have now found him on linkedin - Where is apparently the CEO of "Reach The Height Fc of Umuahia" - the following blurb is listed on his linkedin

"Experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment and sports industry. Skilled in Music Publishing, Music Management, Customer Service, Audio Engineering, and Record Labels. Strong business development professional graduated from Benson Idahosa university and also involved in Football development."

I doubt any of this is helpful. Just highlighting how scary the internet is lol

The above is also based on whether the scriptrevolution profile is the same person.

Two steps to writing a good screenplay:
1) Write a bad one
2) Fix it

He sounds driven.

I'm just anxious to know how I should deposit my monies to him. I don't want to be scammed by Western Union with their hideous rates!!!

I got the same email. The first red flag was that he was emailing from a @gmail.com address, then with a bit of digging I saw basically what Matthew saw.

Apparently, I wasn't established enough as a writer to get an email from Michelle Jennifer Barrett (who felt it necessary to mention she's not a porn actress). But this time around I was targeted.

Yippie! I'm famous!

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)

As long as you deposit your life savings Nigeria is a good place to nab a husband online too.

Not that I'm tarring all with the same brush but you know...

Yes, the Internet can be a wonderful place but, do not send money or sign your rights away.
