Just putting some feelers out, seeing if maybe it's time for another Killer game.
So far we've played on a boat, in an isolated island town, in post apocalyptic America and on a train. I think I'll see if anyone has suggestions for where the next might take place.
For those of you who don't know, Killer is a writing game that's based on an old kids party game - where one person is the killer and no one else knows until it's too late.
So let me know if you're interested and I'll get another game together.

Well, I had a ton of fun on that train my one and only time playing. So, why not try another hand and roll the dice... How about a weekend long poker tournament? Things could get downright nasty during those intermissions! Talk about your painful eliminations! Regards, E.D. |

Oh, Brett, how I love poker but it is ALWAYS done so poorly by screenwriters... for some reason.

Poker or not to poker -
Isn't much of an issue. (And just for the record collaborative poker game scripts have been tried before).
What we need is an isolated location. The characters have to be forced to deal with each other in an inescapable situation. |

I'm game.
Inescapable setting? How about an asylum? An island chateau? A solar power plant in the middle of the Sahara? A hunting lodge in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness in winter? An orbital space station during a catastrophic power failure? A penal mining facility inside an asteroid? A bomb shelter after a nuclear strike? |

A space station is a good idea but instead of just some usual space folks, let it be some Justice League type deal with new superheroes. Think of the possibilities...and spandex. |

What about something like we're stranded on a island, they've sent help to get us in 24 hrs, and one of us is a killer?

I think in honour of exploring Mars. We should set it in the Mars colony. Maybe each person can have a special ability - one of those abilities being murder.
If that sounds ok, then I can get things underway. |

Okay, easy tiger. You're okay with the spandex though, right? How about Mexican wrestlers on a Mars colony. |

I prefer plain old nudity, actually. Or at least, a number of nude scenes. If some babes want to wear some spandex, let 'em go. Hell, if Stevie wants to replace his old, short jean shorts and go spandex, I'm game. |

So how about nudity, spandex, Stevie in short jean shorts and we'll even try to fit in a line of of dialogue I know your like "You wanna eat my baby pussy" all on a Mars colony. Oh and isn't there something about a killer on the loose as well. Sounds great! |

Ok then. How does this sound?
Due to the dangerous conditions, isolation and hardship involved building Mars base, it has been decided hardcore convicts will be provided a chance for early release by serving their time building the base. In the past, things have gone smoothly - it seems like this approach might be an effective means of rehabilitation.
Several politicians have built their careers along with the base and it's time for them to visit. When they do, they discover that there's more than a few minutes radio delay in the news coming from Mars. Things are not as they should be and the headcount of their workforce is dwindling faster than a rocket countdown. |

Mars is cool. A few fun facts: Mars gravity is 1/3 that of Earth, air pressure's 50x less (space suits required), the air isn't breatheable (space suits again), and there's at least a 20 minute delay in communications to Earth. Actually, I like the space suit idea. Maybe have unique identifiers to personalize each space suit, like different coloured bands or insignias. It sets up the potential for mistaken identity, or deliberate identity theft. Space geek reporting for duty! |
