Well, it's been about six months since we started our last one and with the 7WC on its way out, it's high time we started another one.
Currently, I've spent a couple weeks considering ideas and came up with only one that's working thus far. However, if anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to throw out any ideas of your own for a Killer game.
As it stands, the idea is that the shadowy head of a international crime syndicate puts out the highest bounty of all time for one target, $28 million, which attracts the most high profile collection of hitmen in the world to his Colorado estate for one weekend.
Of course, as I said, it you guys are interested in playing, but not the idea, I'm open to any and all suggestions. I'm looking for at least 8-10 people who might be interested in playing. Look out for the game to start (barring enough players) on or around May 5th, so everyone has enough time to finish their 7WC scripts and review others. Hope to see you here. =)
Not trying to be killjoy, Mr. Blonde, but this concept has kinda been done to death. No pun intended. Might wanna try to conjur up something a little more original., IMO
How 'bout something more to do with current events? After a crimeboss's daughter is killed in a street bombing, he puts up a 28 million dollar bounty to whoever catches the bomber.
Then of course there's the poor schmuck who's mistaken as the bomber, but he isn't, and he has to run for his life.
Michael, you've played the Killer game before, right? I thought you had but maybe you didn't. It's a collaborative game played by people on this site that is written one part at a time. It's not really a structured plot in what you seem to be thinking.
Just for example, this was the last one we played:
The Killer game was always something I thought was very fun, so I asked Michael 2 if I could run one and he said absolutely. You should take part because it's not a competition. Just a fun writing exercise. =)
Actually he's Michael 1 and I'm Michael 3, but yeah, I suppose it's a matter of perspective. The game that is. I might play along. Sign me up as a conflicted Bible-thumping hitman.
Kind of like the Christian version of Thane Krios. In my opinion, one of the coolest hitmen ever created. But, you're still Michael 1 to me. Lol.
By the way, if you are interested, I'm going to need a slightly better description than that. But, not just yet. For a good idea on creating characters, I shall link you to this:
Awesome, Mohammad. I think we will before all is said and done. From the look of things, we have four who seem somewhat interested. Hoping to get about 8-10, but more is always going to be good times. =)
i like the idea about everyone creating their own hitman

just an idea....
if you wanted to switch it up a bit.... instead of 'who done it' this could be like a survivor game.... we each create a character hitman/soldier... as part of a unit assigned to a high-risk mission....
similar to the normal game...but instead of "who is the killer" its "who will be the last one left?" and of course... you are hoping it is your character
the game-runner establishes the writing order before the game (to keep it fair).... we each take our turn like normal (reguardless if our character is alive or dead)... killing 1 character per scene (writer's choice)
once it gets down towards the end...we can have some sort of a vote

To be honest, Penoyer, a lot of what you're suggesting is already a part of the Killer game. The creating a character part, having it be about who's the last one left, establishing the order beforehand and the rest of it, so I'm not sure what you're actually suggesting.
The only differences I can find are the high risk unit part and the voting at the end part. I take issue with both of those in some way. First of all, the high risk unit works well as its own thing, possibly a future Killer game (could theoretically be anything from Predator to Zero Dark Thirty), but I don't think it works in conjunction with this idea. However, if people would rather do that one than the hitmen, that's perfectly cool with me. As for the voting at the end, the problem is that it takes the game out of the hands of the person who writes the final scene and makes it rather predictable to know beforehand. In the two I've participated in, we tried that (in a secret vote) with "Murder on the Simply Express" and I thought the ending suffered a bit for it. With "Martian Madness", it was the writer's decision and it made for a more interesting ending. Just my belief, though.
I would like to welcome you to the game (if you are, indeed, participating), Penoyer. =)

yes, i was suggesting something along the lines of a "Predator" or "The Dirty Dozen". I think that would be fun if we wanted to switch it up a bit. just an idea...
