Alright folks, it's time. I was going to wait until midnight to do this, but screw it. Welcome to the Scarefest Script Club 2WC. We're gonna try something a little different with this one.
First, this will not be an anonymous challenge. In fact, all participants are encouraged to be open about your projects. We're all horror fans here. Talk to each other. Bounce ideas off one another.
Second, this will be a two-part challenge. After the sub-genres are revealed on the 15th, writers will have one week to submit their first draft. (NOTE: It does not need to be the first draft, just A draft.) From there, writers will be given another week to rewrite their work based on the feedback they have recieved.
TIMELINE FEB 15th- Sub-genres are announced and the SSC2WC officially begins. FEB 22th- The first draft is due. MAR 1st- The final draft is due.
The scripts must be 10-15 pages.
The sub-genres will be randomly picked from a hat. You may to chose which of the two you would like to write in, or you can combine the two if you would like.
Anyone who wishes to participate, please PM me and let me know before the 15th.
Come on fellow horror fans. Let's have some fun.
~Zack~
EDIT: The two sub-genres are Monster horror and Cannibal horror.

I'm game, assuming the sub genre is something I have some interest in.
If I'm in, I'll provide a finished draft by the first deadline. I rarely go back and do any rewrites, other than fix a mistake, but as you guys know very well, I don't make many mistakes.
Love you long time!!!!
BTW, Zack, or should I call you Disco, now...can you list what sub genres are going into this hat? And, are we all writing in the exact same sub genre, or are you saying each person that says they're in gets a random pick?

It's still just Zack. Lol.
I'm currently getting together the list of sub-genres and will be posting it soon. And the chosen sub-genre will be the same for everyone.

I would give Vampires and Werewolves each their own subgenre. Of course, either could fall under Monster or Supernatural, but that's a moot point if you're picking the subgenre out of a hat. I would also add Serial Killer (NOT the same as slasher), as well as Action and Sci-Fi Horror.
Mumblecore is an independent, low budget genre, usually dealing with 20/30 year old white peoples problems...though that's not a genre necessity of course.
