No, not the 1981 slasher. I'm officially 29 today!

I'm gonna take a holiday.

Going to dinner and a movie. Cake and ice cream tomorrow.

Quoted from LC
What movie?

The movie Michael Moore, Seth Rogen, and Jesse Ventura don't want you to see.   American Sniper. It was great. Quite heavy. A+

I guess you could say I had a three-part birthday:

My actual birthday (Wednesday), dinner and a movie

Thursday, cake and ice cream and watching John Carpenter's The Ward (The man's still got it.  )

Yesterday (Saturday), I went to Hastings to pick out my gifts. Lots of good selections, lots of good movies, music, books. I decided on getting Filmmaking for Dummies (second edition, 2009), The Essentials of Screenwriting by Richard Walter (2010), and The Jaws Log (expanded edition, 1975-2005).

I've been writing scripts for almost 20 years, so I felt Screenwriting for Dummies would simply be review, so I chose Essentials instead. I figured I'd rather have Filmmaking for Dummies rather than Something I Already Know How to Do for Dummies.

And we all know about the making of Jaws. That's probably the perfect movie to take notes on.

All in all, I had a fun birthday.
