This isn't an introduction so much as a re-introduction. Many years ago, in 2009, I was quite active on SS, reviewing, posting to threads, and putting up a number of short scripts - under the username "Niles Crane".

I later also joined the sadly departed Movie Poet. But for various reasons I gradually drifted away from internet writing forums of all kinds (a nasty experience on Twitter didn't help!).

In January 2014, as a Guest User, I was a co-winner of the OWC with a script called "Ch-ch-changes". I thought about rejoining then, but didn't get round to it.

The reason for my return now is just that I have been rereading old diaries and came across many references to SS, so thought I'd register again - and also maybe have a go at the OWC again. The 2014 script was the last screenplay I wrote - since March of that year I have been concentrating on prose, and have published a couple of story collections (the first, "24 Stories", also containing some of my script work, the second, "Somewhat Slightly Dazed", which came out last week, being mainly flash fiction).

My life being what it is at the moment, I may not be as active as I was back in the day, but I'm sure you'll see me around...
