Hi All!

I signed on SS in August 2016, posted a feature, entered all the OWC'c since then, and realized that I never properly introduced myself. John Staats from Tucson, Arizona - Damned glad to meet you! I'm not really from Tucson, very few are. Originally from New Jersey but have been moving around the west for the last 35 years. Skier, climber, fly fisherman, and now a wannabe screenplay writer.

A special thanks to Don for doing what you're doing. It surely can't be easy with this crowd. And thanks to all of you that have been so critical, yet helpful, since I logged on.

All the best - John

Thanks for the welcomes!

Warren - I just posted 'Ideal Truth' under westerns and would love some feedback. It's an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's 'Rashomon' set in 1862 Arizona. It also ties in some characters from Sergio Leone's 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly'. My biggest issue is the length at 50+/- pages. It would film (in my head, anyway) much longer as it's very visual and some prolong dialog. But still an issue, I think.

Other work is posted on Script Revolution. Most are rewrites and finals (if there is such a thing) of shorts previously posted here on SS.

I would also be happy to read and give feedback to others. Let me know what and where to find it and I'll give it a read.

Not a problem I will add it to the feature pile. I just have two I'd like to get through first.

I'm not a huge western fan but I'll give as much constructive feedback as I can.
