Ok, I guess I'l hang out with you guys for a little while.

Lemme see, I wrote and shot my big fat failed indie feature back in 2001 called alt.sex (http://www.thedacrons.com/eric/alt.sex/). It was such a bitch and disappointment to pull off that it knocked me creatively on my ass for 15 years.

Figuring it's easier to tell a story merely through words, I wrote out my next movie idea as a novel called Artifice. Book trailer: https://youtu.be/eiPDRTCGikQ

Seeing that nobody gives a shit about a story about a painter, I wrote another movie idea out as a novel called High Strangeness. http://high-strangeness.net/

The blurb: Something strange has arrived on Cape Cod, and it’s not just the UFOs. When a UFO flap happens over Cape Cod, alien sex cult members, conspiracy nuts and other crackpots try to break onto the Air Force base to reveal it's secrets.

Because I created something funny and different and didn't stick to genre, I screwed myself again with the literary crowd. NOW the novel is in a screenplay form. It's surprising how hard it was slashing a 78,000 word novel into a 20,000 word screenplay. (and I WROTE the stupid book THINKING movie the whole time.)

Two of the Eric's I know write very well. And I know only two Erics. So, I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with. What if it's in the name?

is that Eric with a 'C' or a 'K'? I'm pretty sure all us Eric's with a 'C' are illiterate.

Eric, welcome to the board.  My advice; visit often. And don't just try to figure out who are the most experienced and listen to them.  Really think about what everyone says and try to draw your own conclusions.

Yeah... and he hasn't been back since. I think he saw that nobody here really gives a shit either so he left. Many writers come here for themselves and not the community. This writer posted his adverts and now he's gone.
