Cars, like all Pixar films, had great animation and was kid-friendly (for the most part). There were a few parts that I’m sure parents might not want there young (5 or below) children hearing; but nothing too major.
STORY: This film, surprisingly, had a great story and teaches great values that we should all (adult and young) consider. It had a fun and fast plot that doesn’t get boring or dull at all. Great entertainment if you are looking for a film to take your kids to or if you just want good entertainment for yourself.
SCORE: 95/100
DIALOGUE: This film had good dialogue. No lines seemed to stick out at all. In fact, a lot of the lines were quite funny. Well, at least the lines by “Larry the cable guy!”
SCORE: 85/100
CAST: The cast fit this movie perfect. “Larry the cable guy” was hilarious and fit his character perfectly. The voice of the main character “Lightning” had the perfect voice behind it, as did all the characters.
100/100
ADVERTISING: There wasn’t a web site I went to that didn’t have something about Cars on it. The trailers were great and so were the posters. They did the perfect amount of hype for this film…not a lot yet not a little. And that is the way to get people to watch a movie.
100/100
OVERALL: This film was great! Go see it…then again…then buy it on DVD later on this year. Parents don’t have to be scared to take their children and adults don’t have to worry about being bored to death. In fact, this film had great action-sequences when they were racing. Especially at the beginning!
