Ten years in the making since Iron Man hit screens way back in 2008, it's finally here...the beginning of the end.

No less than 18 films have been made, all building up to this one...and I'd recommend seeing every one, and all the after credit sequences, to make the most of this beast.

It's a sequel to all the Iron Men, Spiderman Homecoming, the Thor trilogy, Black Panther, Captain America films, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers and, of course, Ant Man!

That's without mentioning all the series that are part of the same Universe.

It has been the most ambitious undertaking in Cinema history...and they've pulled it off with barely a hiccup along the way.

There is so much going on that everyone has done a masterful job in managing to fit it all together.

Amazing stuff. It's incredible to think my cinema life started with the likes of Superman, when getting a man to fly in something like a realistic way was considered unbelievable special effects...and now we're able to witness things like this.

Already can't wait for the Second Part....and for Captain Marvel.

The only downside is imagining what can possibly come after all this?

Thanks for no spoilers as I couldn't NOT read this. Hopefully I can sneak out to see it this weekend.

To avoid spoilers, you'll basically need to live under a rock until you see the movie.

The hard part, of course, is dragging the rock with you to the theater.

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)

Additional scripts are listed here.

I was a devout Marvel comic reader as a kid in the 80s. It feels really strange that virtually all of them are in live action. I wonder how long this MCU thing can last. Infinity War feels like somebody force-feeding me Gooseberry crumble until I choke (I love Gooseberry Crumble).
The thing I miss is that you can't get separate, smaller stories anymore. They all have to be part of a bigger franchise. This can't last forever.

I can't see they can do much but start again, focusing on the new breed.

They can't go back to just doing small stuff after something this epic. I can see no option but to start another piecemeal epic.. Individual, complete stories but part of a bigger whole.

I'm glad I saw this on opening day, would be hard to escape the spoilers and there are so many massive ones to go round.

It was epic and amazing. I don't have one bit if criticism for it. Wildly entertaining. It's Marvel, you generally get what you pay for, but this is next level.

Watch it on the biggest screen with the best possible sound.

I really hope they do Venom justice.

Yeah, it's an immense experience.

Get the previous films watched asap, and watch this on Imax. Don't leave it to TV.

I was a DC kid and I suppose I'm a DC adult as I have no interest in any of the Marvel characters... aside from The Hulk. Only as a solo though.

Infinity War is enjoyable. But is it good? Eh....

Look, a movie like this shouldn't work. By all means, it should have been a shit show. And it's kind of miraculous that it's not. The character interactions are easily the best parts of the film, Thanos is solid, and Dr. Strange feels fresh and new. I had a good time while watching it and am interested in Part II. With that said...

The film's story is a series of B-stories. And the movie heavily relies on the fact, and assumes, that the film's audience both know and love the MCU. If you're tired of superhero films, then this movie is NOT for you. Furthermore, the humor is safe, boring and doesn't work most of the time (they're starting to drive Guardians into the ground). Plus there are no stakes. And honestly, that's my biggest problem with the film. Because -

***MILD SPOILER***
If you have a character who can literally turn back time then nothing feels like it's permanent. Going into the film, we know that certain characters will survive because we know there is a Black Panther 2 film in the works.

Anyways, it's fun, but the whole franchise feels a little cold to me. I lost any investment I had in these characters a long time ago. So IMO, it's like watching someone else playing a video game like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. Different characters, different settings, but no real depth.

B- for me

I'm going to send this review to Anthony Russo - I sometimes get his emails by mistake...

I'm over them as well.

First, maybe second Ironman I enjoyed, but that's it.

I'm so glad other movies are still being made for other demographics.

Ma's just going to have to go see the superhero movies with hubby.

Yup!

They seem to me more akin to amusement park rides than movies.
