Hey guys. Thanks for watching and commenting.  I find that you get so few comments on videos that you never know what people are thinking about it.  Cheers.

Michael, you're getting pretty good at the machinima stuff!

IMHO though, the timing with the "bells will be ringing" and the phone needs a quick edit. It lingers too long on the phone before it starts to ring. That's just me though.

Well done.

Hey guys,

If you're a Moviestorm member or decide to become one in the next week then please vote for my video in the Christmas competition.  This will really help me out because the winner gets a slew of Moviestorm points - enough to buy several content packages.

You can vote here.

Hey, thanks guys. Really appreciate it.

I could still use some additional votes though.  The competition is pretty tough and it's neck and neck for the second with one leading by two votes.  So if you haven't voted then please do.

Thanks Mike.

It's in the lead now by one vote.  Hopefully it will stay that way until New Years.

It's all a tie again.  So still having to canvas votes.  What a royal pain in the neck these types of contest are.

The person I'm up against has a lot of friends in the Moviestorm forum supporting him so he's tough to beat.  I thought his video was ok but there were other's I liked better.

Anyway, if you haven't voted and care to vote for On Christmas Day, it is appreciated.

As opposed to Cornetto, who understandably has very few?

Tossed in another vote to kick you up a notch.

I voted...finally. Procrastinating on registering.

Folks, it looks like Michael's down by 3, so he needs four lucky people to vote for his short. Registration was painless.

Thanks George!  Mucho appreciated.  I expect that the registration is what's keeping people from voting.  It is free though and Moviestorm doesn't seem to send any junk mail.

Still down by 3 votes.  If I get them great, otherwise it's been a good show and I come in a solid second.

Thanks again, everyone, for your votes.

Thanks Michel,

It's now a very tense tie.  They were going to announce the winner already but since it's a tie they decided to wait until 11:59 pm UK time.  There's still  an hour or so to vote if you haven't.  Cheers.

EDIT: Hehe who changed the title of this thread?

By the way MC, I did vote for yours (no. 24). I was just hoping to get a reaction from you, but alas, I did not receive it.

Hope you win!

Everyone that's for voting.  It's well past 11:59 London time.  No formal announcement yet but if all goes well then On Christmas Day will win the comp.  Cheers all!

EDIT: Nope. It's official now.

So, feeling a little guilty (just a tad) about voting for the only one I actually watched, I went back to watch a couple more.

"Christmas Slay" was too long by about 3 minutes -- the intro goes on forever -- and while quite stylish, it was ultimately pretty disappointing.  Cornetto's was better.

But "J-Hard's Christmas Album" deserves a look.  Very funny stuff, indeed.  I am surprised it did not get more votes.

I assume you watched them all, Cornetto.  Any others that deserve a look?

Yeah, I posted the J-Hard clip in the Christmas videos thread.  I thought that was very well done, that guy has a wicked sense of humour (you should see some of his other stuff).  I thought for certain J-Hard would take the competition and was also surprised it got so few votes.

I think I was editing while you typed, Cornetto.

My edit was asking if there were any others we should be sure to see.

I assume you checked out all of the competitors.

Of the other finalists...

    * The Cleaners Christmas Special (18+)
       Wasn't my cup of tea.  Very silly and stupid.
    * The Christmas Favor
       This was a good story but the production qualities left a bit to be desired.
    * A Love Untouched
       Weird.  I didn't really get it.
    * Stealth Elves
       Very short.  Not much of a story.
    * J-Hard's Christmas Album (18+)
       See this one if any.  It's the kind of video that makes you snort milk from your nose.
    * Christmas Slay (18+)
       Nice production qualities but could be tightened.
    * Peace on Earth
       Oh Ah! Pretty.  But out of sync and the song is too long.
    * Goodwill tae a'
       Lots of people liked this one.  It's ok. But I think you have to be Scottish to really appreciate it.
    * 'Tis Better To Give
       Long and silent.  I had a difficult time making it through this one.
    * A "1984" Christmas
      This one wasn't on the finals list but I really liked it.  It was very intriguing but could have used more story.
