We've decidedly launched into the new year and that means that it's time for me to stop doing silly things like writing screenplays to concentrate on what's important: The next issue of the Voice Over online screenwriting magazine.

Nobody gets paid for their efforts, but everyone gets rewarded with the fuzzyish feeling that comes with being a part of a worthwhile effort. So anything you want to contribute and feel is suitable of a magazine of our particular variety, I'm open to discuss it.

So if you're interested, please do get in touch. And do check out the latest back issue to get a sense of what it is we're trying to achieve here: http://www.simplyscripts.com/voiceover

Henrik,

All the best with VO.

As I'm pretty new to this biz I don't think I have much to add but you have my previous suggestions.

I think VO  is a lovely idea so I hope you have back up.  If I come up with anything  I'll drop back in.

Having said that, a couple of questions that seem to burn bright around here are 1) how do you get produced and 2) what is the difference between a pro script and the others. Senior discussion on this maybe interesting.

All the best.

One other thought over night.

Again this is probably a bit of a yawn for the veterans, but in terms of getting a script produced, a low budget seems essential.

Tips from those in the know on how to simplify scripts, reduce costs, improve the chances etc could be helpful.

I think we all realise that limited characters, one location etc are helpful but i'm sure there are many others tips, or examples e.g. what do students typically look for? - i don't know. I think i once read be careful of working at night - again i don't know.

Best of luck

Good ideas. I think I will write a feature which combines thoughts about how to get produced and how to make your script low-budget friendly because those often go hand in hand.
