I'm currently copyrighting one of my scripts with the US office and have come up with a little problem.

Limitation of Claim category. I use the Cain and Abel story in my script however, I changed the words. Now,

Question:

Is the bible copyrighted? I don't think so but I want to ask.

Is the story I used copyrighted if I loosely translated it? One of my characters tells the Cain and Abel story but in his own vernacular, very different from the bible.

Is what the priest says during the Eucharist copyrighted? The priest is performing the Eucharist.

Hope this makes sense and thanks in advance.

Gabe

So, you want to know who owns the copyright on the Bible...

Thanks Brett.

I think I'm exluding the order and text of the mass and the bible. lol. And including the screenplay.

I hate US copyright.
