How would you write characters playing vid games?

Like, character - game - character - game

Back and forth, very quick shots

I have something, but I would like to improve if I can.

How about:

INT.  LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

JOE (16) sits on the edge of his couch.  His fingers  dance around a Playstation 3 control as he stares blankly at the video game playing on his television, three feet away from him.

From the first person POV, a rifle scope looks over four ENEMY REBELS in the distance.

JOE stares on as his fingers race around the controls.

BLAM!

One rebel's head explodes in a bloody tempest.  His friends look in horror before grabbing their rifles and shooting at the soldier.  The scope moves from onhe rebel to another, shooting.

Joe doesn't blink.

For a spec script, you don't need headers each time you go from Joe to the game.  It's understood.
