Hi all I'm just wondering what is the best way to show something through CCTV.

INT. PUB OFFICE

Dark room.

We see a unkown person in a hood and gloves sit behind a computer screen.

The person presses play on the screen.

CCTV POV:

Grainy footage shows a man and lady enter a pub, there are a few people sat at the bar. The lady holds bags. The lady stops. They can been seen talking to each other before the lady leaves. We see another lady get up of her stool and leave after her.

There is a rewind on the screen of the lady who get up of her barstool. * Maybe a zoom in on her*

We see copy to USB on the screen. The file loads. We then see delete on the screen. The files deletes.

Sorry I don't have a clue how I could write this. Can someone help??????

This is probably how I'd write it:

Quoted Text
INT. PUB OFFICE - DAY/NIGHT

A dark room.

An unknown person in a hood and gloves sits behind a computer screen. The person presses the PLAY button.

INSERT: Computer screen - CCTV footage

Grainy footage of a few bar patrons in the pub. A man and woman enter the pub. The woman, holding bags, stops and begins to talk to the man. They chat for a moment before the woman leaves. A woman on a barstool stands up and leaves after her.

REWIND.

ZOOM IN ON the second woman as she stands up and leaves after the first woman.

PAUSE.

The MOUSE CURSOR drags the video file to a USB icon. The file loads quickly to the drive. The mouse cursor RIGHT CLICKS - DELETES the original video file.

BACK TO SCENE

The unknown person puts the computer to sleep, stands, and walks out of the office.

I'm sure there are different ways to write it, but that's the approach I would take.

I'd do it even more simply.

INT. OFFICE - DAY

Blah blah blah

CCTV FOOTAGE:

Blah blah blah

BACK TO SCENE.

Sean's way is correct too. So long as it's clear what you mean, then it's fine.
