I hear you Pia... I have a couple of shorts in similar situations, but it's difficult to have a crystal ball on these things ;-(
Are you doing 3 month options on paid options or just free ones (or both)?

My options seem to always be VERY small as far as money goes. That's why I was so happy when someone actually bought a script. IMHO, if someone only wants to pay a small sum for an option, they better show me they really want it. Otherwise, move on, let someone else have a go at it. This is the script I'm talking about, btw. It also got me some attention from a semi big Hollywood producer/director. https://www.facebook.com/FirstTimeMovie/timeline/ Both the buyer and the Hollywood guy found the script here at SS. That's how I know people do peruse this site. |

So did it never get made?
Shame, would have like to see it...
I'm finding that a straight sale is no more likely to get made than a paid option, or a free one for that matter ;-(
I currently have one drama short that is finshed but is stuck in post and the guy has disapeared off the face of the earth, another couple that sold outright that look unlikley to get made now to producers change of circumstances...
Still I keep plugging away, and hoping that the next one will get made and be brilliant... what else can you do?

As far as I know, only the trailer was made.

I don't know. In my case it's not.

I hate to say this, but IMHO, filmmakers are the flakiest on the planet.
Still I keep plugging away, and hoping that the next one will get made and be brilliant... what else can you do? |
I'm quitting this at the end of the year. Going to give prose a shot. I've been told I suck at it, but to me, that just means I have only one way to go...UP! |

Good luck with the prose Pia... maybe you could do both, create a prose and script version of the same story.... |

I pitched the feature version of Graft to an exec at Ghost House at the weekend, he's just requested the script! |

The feature script version of Graft has just made it into top 100 of Emerging Screenwriters competition, top 7% apparently... Fingers crossed for next round |

Feature version of Graft didn't win in Emerging Screenwriters comp... BUT...
Has just been optioned by a producer with a couple of features under his belt!
That's two feature options now, here's hoping they get funds and get made. |
