Portraits by Michael Newbold Smith (replica) - Horror - Family man Anthony's life is in an uproar: his rebellious teenage daughter is getting into trouble with the law, and his father just died in a freak household accident. When he inherits his late father's old summer house in Maine, he uproots his family to spend a quiet Christmas break in "The Bungalow" to decide if they want to keep or sell it before the summer rolls around. His young son is delighted, but before long, Anthony and his wife Kate begin to suffer horrifying hallucinations and nightmares. Does the seemingly pleasant house have something to do with it, or are they losing their minds? Driven by fear and morbid curiosity, Anthony delves deeper into his family's history and unearths a shocking secret that should have stayed buried. 121 pages - doc, format

Thanks, Don, for posting my script. I hope everyone enjoys it.

I've been writing and filmmaking for years, but I'm new to this site and this forum. I enjoy browsing people's scripts and ideas. It sounds like there's a lot of creativity out there.

I've started to make some revision notes for "Portraits" in order to tighten it up and flesh out the central themes a bit better. The draft available on here is my first draft. It's a work in progress. I'm hoping to film the revised script on a low budget during the winter. Enjoy.

Dearly Mr. Smith,

Hello sir. My name is Shaun. Sorry about my spellings and gramar. I am a little slow. I am in my early twenties but have brainwize am in my teens. Let me tell you about me. Is that okaey? I was born in Maine, had a rough child-hood, very rough. Very. Loved mother, father not so much. He never enjoyed my presentce, and called be "bastard son". But I lived. Anyway as a younger boy I enjoyed reading screenplays ir as you would called them; scripts. I enjoy them more movies movies. I like your "script", very much so. Brang me enjoyment. It reminded me of film I see as boy, I think called "The burning Offer" with Burgeon Mereon, Oliver Reese, and a yound Sidney Portier. What other films you make! You probably have very liyttle time for me, but I like you and your workership. Maybe we can meet in he flesh one day and discusss your work - PORTRAITS. You will forever be remembered.

Good luck with yourself, Mr. Smyith,

Shaun.

Bert's Note:  Don't be fooled.  Troll is the author!  You should be ashamed, Mr. Smith...
