Battlestar Galactica "The Frog & The Scorpion" by Scott Westphal - Sci Fi - Set before the end of season 2 of the re-imagined series, the Galactica finds a Cylon wreckage-filled debris field where it captures a Cylon-Colonial hybrid fighter. While the crew questions the pilot and explores the origins of the Cylon war, one person will question the past, loyalty, and what it means to be family. 66 pages - pdf, format

Fantastic! Got the Galactica feel exactly right! Characters were also perfect.

Nice job, Scott, it read like a real episode of BG. And a hand to Mdesai1982 for finding this one after nearly a year and no comments, glad it didn't slip through the cracks. A few minor errors. Some of your exposition lines got merged into dialogue in a few places, might be the result of conversion error. The teaser should just be about the discovery of the Cylon wreckage, and the unknown ship. Duala's storyline should begin the next act. Also, probably the biggest thing is that if you're writing a spec episode, you should steer away from dramatic story arc changes, and that's what you've done here. I'm not saying it's not an interesting take, but I think you're better off keeping the story within the normal parameters. But overall nice job and well written.
