A Little Off The Top by Jason Wright - Comedy, Buddy Comedy - Stephanie Worthington, prima donna and sole daughter Richard Worthington, Sr., multi-millionaire media mogul, has been kidnapped on her way to a rafting trip, but when her angst-ridden teenage brother, Ritchie, loses the cell phone the ransom call was to be delivered on, it winds up in the hands of Gavin Bonds, a lowly, self-centered barber, who after receiving the demands totaling a whopping $30 million dollars, cooks up a half-baked scheme passing himself off as a private detective willing to rescue Stephanie for nothing more than a finder's fee, but Gavin gets more than he bargained for when Ritchie insists on tagging along for this so-called "investigation."  While following clues, and shaking people down, Gavin and Ritchie form a bond which is quickly destroyed when Gavin is exposed as a fraud, but when Ritchie himself is kidnapped, Gavin is forced to stop thinking of himself for once, and risk everything to rescue a friend in need.  105 pages - pdf, format
