From the Inktip Newsletter, Thursday, August 6, 2009:

Mark Cabaroy Options Another Short

Mark Cabaroy with iMarkFilms has optioned the short script "The Rose, the Butterfly, and the Dolphin" from writer Matias Caruso off of InkTip.

This is not the first sale for Matias who has sold eight short scripts and was hired for a feature assignment. Mark assembled a team of up-and-coming filmmakers to ambitiously take on six short films in twelve months. The team is Mark Cabaroy (iMarkFilms), Letitia Edwards, Maria Rusolo (ROAM Pictures), Darrick Robinson (Done Deal Media), and Edward Washington. Mark found InkTip.com and introduced it to his team. One of the reasons they decided to start optioning scripts was to produce a greater variety of stories, subjects and genres and not just rely on inside the team. They found the website to be a great resource of material and talent and have option/purchased four scripts so far from four different writers. All of iMarkFilms productions are made through the mayor's office Made In New York initiative.

I didn’t see this anywhere else so I thought I’d start a thread and say congrats to Matias.

As a huge film geek this is amazing news as Mr Z will be a remarkable contribution  to the film industry. If you've seen some of the p*ss weak blockbuster movies this year, the major studios need script writers like Mr Z.

I've have read Mr Z script here including the one mentioned above and it was outstanding.
