Gorson Cove: Reign Of Fear by Darren J Seeley - Short, Horror - In 1929, a federal prohibition agent tracks down three gangsters to a small coastal town, only to discover that the trio are more dangerous dead than alive. 32 pages - pdf, format
First of all, I would like to thank those of you who have read the short script and have e-mailed me in response to it. A few of you even want to film it - although I don't know about shooting it in Dubai. Nothing against Bolly or anything, but I ...just...don't...see it being filmed there.
Anyway, I think it's time I clear something up. The WGA register not only pertains to this short script, but the full length script entitled "Gorson Cove" The short was part of a prelude to the main story, which is set in present day and the gangster ghosts, and the haunted lighthouse, residing in it. But the main protag of the story was intro'd late, and most of the backstory was in and out at various times. Finally, I took it out and re-worked it into a short script, which Is why I'm also revising the main story.
The main script is not on this website as of this time. But it has shown up in various forms at Zoetrope and Talentville. It was on Inktip several years ago.
The short script is to serve one purpose now. To serve as a related, but separate entity. It is not for "sale"
Thanks for the link, yay for seaweed bleeding ghosts! Lovecraftian horror with Prohibition gangsters. I could see this one getting some heat now that Boardwalk Empire is popular. I had some trouble following the who's and why's and how come's. Overall though, I dig the visual palette here. This would be fun to watch. Gorson Cove has more than enough going for it that I would like to know more. Keep up the nifty work!
Regards, E.D.
