If you've ever wondered whether entering a screenwriting contest can help launch your career, let me ask you this...

Do you know what all these movie stars have in common?
    Arnold Schwarzenegger
    Abigail Breslin
    Robert Downey, Jr.
    Robert Duvall
    Billy Bob Thornton
    Isabelle Fuhrman
    Jessica Alba
    Luke Wilson
    Nikki Reed
    Ellen Burstyn
    Danny Glover
    Ray Liotta
    James Cromwell
    Lea Michelle
    Dan Aykroyd
    Patrick Stewart
    Sir Ian McKellen

And what about these famous actors in top TV shows?
    Robin Williams
    Sarah Michelle Gellar
    Jada Pinkett Smith
    Freddie Highmore
    Vera Farmiga
    Andrew Lincoln
    Lauren Cohan
    Kristin Chenowith
    Annie Potts
    Darren Boyd
    Robert Lindsay
    Josh Hamilton
    Emily Deschanel
    Dennis Hopper
    Eric Roberts
    Timothy Olyphant
    Patricia Arquette

ANSWER: They are just a few of the stars appearing in movies and television series written by PAGE Award-winning writers.

Over the past ten years the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards contest has built an unprecedented track record of success. The PAGE Judges are widely recognized for discovering and promoting some of the most talented new writers currently working in the industry, both in Hollywood and around the world. To date:
    > 90 PAGE Award Winners have optioned or sold their winning scripts
    > 87 PAGE Award Winners have been signed by representatives
    > 72 PAGE Award Winners have landed paid screenwriting assignments
    > 61 PAGE Award Winners have projects in production, on the air,
and in theaters, featuring some of the biggest stars in the world

Who will star in your script?

Enter the PAGE Awards competition and - like many of our past winners - you may soon find out!

The 2014 PAGE Awards contest is now open for entries, and next fall our Judges will once again present a total of 31 Awards to some of the most talented new screenwriters from across the country and around the world. Our winning writers will receive cash and prizes totaling over $50,000 - including Gold, Silver & Bronze Prizes in each of our ten genre categories - plus our huge $25,000 Grand Prize!

Most importantly, the PAGE Judges are all working Hollywood professionals with years of industry experience, so every script entered is reviewed by people who are actually in the business. Many scripts are optioned and writers are signed by the Judges who read their screenplays during the contest judging process. And our winners are also given a huge blast of industry exposure. As a result, dozens of screenwriting careers have been launched by a PAGE win! You can read more details on the Success Stories pages of our website and on our Facebook page.

Can entering a screenwriting contest help launch your career?  If it's the right one, the answer is yes!

I invite you to enter the 2014 PAGE Awards competition at: http://pageawards.com

We'd love the chance to read your screenplay!

Sincerely yours,
Jennifer Berg

Saw some familiar names on the Quarter Final List (including a pretty dynamic tag team).

Well done to those that made the top 10%!

Hi Mark, mines a horror called 'Thinner Than Water'.

Surprised I made it thorough in with this particular script made it because it's very, very British. I kept all the dialogue in my regional tongue (I usually dilute if for ease of reading). Scripts I've had read in the past by US readers seem to have been hard to get through due to all the slang.

It recently made the top 5% of a BBC 'contest', so I know I have something that might work this side of the pond, but was quite pleased by making the QF's of Page.

Good luck to everyone on the 15 August.

Is your a feature length version of a short you had on here? The numeric title seems familiar.
