Only 21? I think the 3-page limit has put some off.

Can't start reading just yet but I noticed people take issue with God Does Not Play Dice. I addressed this fairly late in the challenge so people may have missed it:

Quoted from MarkItZero
Yes, you cannot swap the requirements.

If you pick the first group, you must have a retirement home and a jump rope.

If you pick the second group, you must have a church and dice.

Assuming you have those required elements for that group, you can have any other locations and objects in the world in addition to those.

Quoted from Dustin
So you can have all four if you'd like to, or even three... so long as two of them are from one group.

Quoted from MarkItZero
correct

May not have been the brightest idea allowing it, but I did say it was allowed.

Could be.  Also, this was not widely advertised and limited to board member. Except for the October challenge, I sorta/kinda try to keep them small

Confirmed they now open.

I did not vet the scripts, so some may not meet the requirements.

People seem to be really divided with this challenge. I still have about 5 scripts to read, I think, but there doesnít really seem to be a standout so far. Thatís not to say there arenít good scripts.

I know people obviously have varying opinions but from the OWC's I've done there have always been a few real standouts from the start that the majority agree on.

I'll agree with Hawkeye here... I like quickies. Did I pull it off... no .. hell no, but it's a good challenge to be able to craft a story that fits into any length. Any challenge that makes you work and think is a good challenge.

I have read my lot tonight... I'll finish up tomorrow at work (sneak time).

I've enjoyed several stories. None have been shockingly GREAT yet for me. But I've liked several.

I finished them all too. There are a couple standouts so far and a couple that really need explanation. Great efforts were made by most to fit so much in only three pages. Congratulations.

Just an observation, but why are people complaining about no cover page? This is supposed to be anonymous, so what does the cover page do? Give you a bogus written by and a copy right symbol?

I for one do not miss the bogus cover pages.

I don't care about page numbers, title pages, or any of that silly stuff. I've also seen Tyler complaining in a few threads that people haven't used the full 3 pages.

Lots of great writing on show this time with some of them being not so hot on story, but we can't hit it every time. Conversely, some written not so well, but have the bones of something good.

Through them all now. Man I love several quickies in quick succession!

From a story aspect there was very little in the way of thinking outside the box. In fact it was only the last one I read which really impressed me in that fashion. A lot followed predictable associations with the locations/objects such a the devil, pervy priests and old folks hanging themselves.

On the plus side, writing a three page script is a tough challenge and most managed to do so admirably. Some very capable writing skills on display here. Well done to all who entered, it's difficult trying to come up with a story in such a limited time frame.

I do echo what has previously been said, there was no requirement to do exactly three pages just not over 3 pages so those who did 2.5 should not be disqualified. Similarly if you mixed both locations/objects that was also allowed but personally I steered away from that.

Looking forward to the reveal and really itching to answer some of the points raised on my script!!

-Mark
