Reading the first page, this looks like it could be a suspensful short story, but the format is very distracting and the font is irritable to the eye. It looks like it has been scanned on. I don't know exactly, but I would say that you have over a page and a half on a single page. (try Celtx or other free screenwriting software).
'complete with a theme song/film score that complements our tragic scene'. If you are going to use music. I would indicate what it is. Better yet, leave that out for the film-makers to decide.
'coloured male'? I take it that you mean black. I think you should include the description of the character's clothes when you introduce them rather than a seperate paragraph. I take it this is an important detail as the story goes forward.
It is not a bad opening scene, but I think you should rewrite and break it down into paragraphs. It reads to much like a description than a moving narrative IMHumbleO. I think it needs to be more succinct.
What is that font? I want to know so I can delete it from my Windows Font folder.
I actually wrote the script on celtx but converted the script to pdf, so its a pdf file hence the font, I did that so I can email the actors that dont have the celtx app, as for the coloured, it doesn't necessarily mean "black" I'm from south Africa, so coloured means something different this side, its actually a race, Trevor Noah the comedian is coloured. Thank you very much for your comment. 'Complete with a theme song' I'm actually the writer/ director of the film, I'm actually going into production this weekend, so I think I needed all that detail coz i'm directing the script.
