Just spotted this: https://www.imagine-impact.comNow, this one appears to be Brian Grazer and Ron Howard. And they're giving out the money to successful candidates: Top candidates will be invited to interview with our team, after which our class of Creators will be selected.
Because we understand the financial stress that sometimes comes with following your dreams, Imagine Impact will provide $40,000 to the selected Creators to cover living expenses in Los Angeles for the two months of their program. |

Applications for Impact 1 close in a few days on 22 July. I dunno, I'm a terrible cynic... The Application form has some interesting questions, and a very long and involved looking Submission Release Agreement which is probably standard, and a thirty second video is also required - 30 seconds?! You'd need to be creative there. Gavin Grazer and Jana Grazer yesterday, and now Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, the latter being two Hollywood bigwigs. Haven't seen anything like this since Project Greenlight. * Bit like a bootcamp apparently. Various articles abound. Here's an example: https://deadline.com/2018/07/i.....n-grazer-1202423561/ |

Interesting article. Would like to see them run a script contest with the winners being selected to join the camp. |

Yes! Could be Feature-length, Pilot, Mini Series. That'd be good.
I suppose this boot-camp way of developing projects is a different way of achieving the same result for getting a star vehicle happening with them having first option.
I don't envy them trawling through the multitude of entries. |

I just heard from Ron Howard and there were 4,000+ applicants for the Imagine Impact workshop. They had to push the start date back another week to Sept. 17th.
I'll need more than luck, I think. |

I was too late with my script but they just sent me a questionnaire (rather long) on what I would be looking for in a site to aid writers. Seems like they want to give back. (Of course there were some questions about cost. Always about the Benjamin’s ) |

I received a mass rejection video from Brian Grazer last weekend. Absolutely no hard feelings as I believe they were way overwhelmed with the response. I'm sure they didn't expect 4,000+ applicants.
I'll be submitting again for round two (Spring 2019?), for sure. I'm also curious to see if this turns out to be a reality show as it has all the ingredients: Eight weeks; $40k to participate; personal show-runners to assist the writers develop their creations; weekly informal dinners to review progress; and a grand finale 'pitch-fest'.
There's a lot of talent here on Simply Scripts and I think it would be worthwhile for writers to apply for the next round. I'd be damn sure to give the site a shout out if I was ever selected. |

Next round of applications is coming fast.
I was curious if anyone could share what I need to be prepared for with the application. I see I'll need a 30 sec video. (What are they asking to be covered in the video?)
What type of questions are they asking on the application? You don't submit a script, right? Just an idea? Do you submit a treatment?
Any help would be greatly appreciated - as I'm working up an idea for the fellowship. |

Bump to see if anyone is able to share what the submission process looks like.
