AfterLife  Upcoming movie

Why would they, post a script on their website?

Because we think it's a good script and we're proud of it.

We'd really like to hear what folks here think about the script.  Have you read it?  If not, please do!

Thanks!

Sounds like Ghost except the dead person can interract with the living one

It has some hint of 'Ghost'.  In fact, I often refer to it as part 'Dragonfly' and part 'Ghost' with a 'Sixth Sense' style twist.

Did you read the script?  Or was that just based on the synopsis?  I'd really like to hear some feedback on the script.

Thanks Wesley.

I'd read the script but life is screwing me over with heart problems right now so maybe friday if tomorrows exam goes well I'll check it out and give you a review

Heart problems?????  For goodness sake, Wes, take care of yourself.  Don't sweat the script.  It'll keep.  Hope the exam goes well.

The guy who gave me the heart pills I'm taking thought I was like 80 and when he found out I was young he refused to give them to me without talking to my doctor first

I need something to keep my mind of my problems, the more I think about it the more my heart rate goes back up and than stupid (My doctor) will admit me back into the hospital emergency room again

Anyways I will begin reading it sometime soon

( I already have the script on my pc ready to start reading tomorrow or friday because you made it sound good with the comparisons. Ghost sucked but I'll give it more of a chance than i gave that film)

Gee Wes, you and I must go to the same quack!  Hope things get better soon.

It's really not much like 'Ghost'.  More like 'Dragonfly'.  Which could've been better, but still wasn't bad.

I'll look forward to your review.  But again, no rush.  Health first!

I did start reading it the day before yesterday, didn't have a chance to because my whole family was basically over yesterday

So is this script on any of the genre based boards up further or would I start telling you what I think in this thread?

Oh and I'll be continuing it today

Hey Wes.  How're you feeling?

It's not on any of the other genre based boards, so I guess you'll have to tell me here.  Looking forward to it.

David

I did start reading it, tho it doesn't really begin like a film would but it was a great scene nonetheless

I have to go in about an hour and a half 1pm for an X - Ray but when I get back and before I go I'll be reading some more

Thanks Wes.  Hope the x-ray goes well.  Be looking for your review.

Hey Wes, you didn't MI on me didja???

Seriously folks, I see a lot of people have read this thread, but nobody seems to want to post a review of the script.  Or maybe people just aren't interested in even reading the script.  I really want to get some feedback.  Any suggestions??

I'm reading it, I just need some time to read it completely and not skimmed

It's refreshing to read something that not only comes to life off of the page but also keeps you guessing until the very end.  I thought it was well written and it made me look forward to seeing the film.

Wes???  Did you finish the script?
Posted by: Old Time Wesley, July 27th, 2004, 3:11pm; Reply: 17
Well I'm well into the script, just haven't said anything about it yet haha

A few thing I just thought off, it takes a little while to get interesting again after the first scene. The devil stuff felt like Hugo from The Matrix with his Mr. Anderson, not a bad thing but certainly makes it a little odd

After the opening scene, we take some time to fill out the main and supporting characters and their relationships.  I feel like it's important to do this in order to support, as well as explain, the things that happen later in the story.  Hopefully that doesn't get too boring.   :)
