A brief review of Greenwald's documentary on the Fox News Channel and the negatives of one-man-owned media empires.

Anyone who watches FNC needs to see this film.  I cannot emphasize that enough.  The film exams the effect the FNC has on society, with analysis and commentary provided by various media experts including Walter Kronkite and Jeff Cohen.

Former Fox employees (producers, reporters, and others) tell about the working environment of the FNC and they had to push "right-wing" viewpoints and talking points on its shows.

This simple documentary has all of a sudden become a spearhead for the counterattack against Fox News and its conservative-leaning bias.  Conservatives and Fox News lovers will attack the film as left-wing propaganda, similiarly to the way they portrayed Michael Moore's film, but ignore all that.  Go and see it.  Then, make your own judgements.

(Note:  I am independant and usually stay away from politics.  It's so negative nowadays with so much hateful things said by talking heads, it's depressing to me.  I am not in no way, a left winger.)

Would be thrilled to see the film. It's a tough one to find though. Even here in Liberal LA.

I watched some of the clips of OutFoxed from moveon.org and I thought what I saw was very ironic.  You basically have a bunch of people saying that it is wrong to broadcast right wing media because it is more profitable than broadcasting centrist media.  Last I heard, most studies on the topic show that the most media outlets have a liberal bias.  Shouldn't a documentary which we assume to be "fair and balanced" show that there is bias in both directions?  Or would that be boring and therefore "less profitable"?

I can't wait to see the film.

Check out this web site from the director. He lists theatres showing the film and some great clips.

One clip completely destroys Bill O'Reilly's credibility. Not that he had any in the first place. WHAT A TOOL!

I believe Outfoxed could've been better if addressed the problem of large media coglamorates (sp?) more.  But it was really effective in showing that Fox is not really fair and balanced like their trademark says.
