A remake? Isn't that what people have been crying about always going wrong? I am not a big fan of the first two films after seeing them but I do like Army of Darkness and they do mention another sequel on there

Maybe that's what they meant, it can't hurt anyways

I wonder if they'll get the other Raimi to be about 5 different roles again

A sequel I'm all for, but a remake I don't think would work.
Unless the script was a brilliant satire of the original film, then I don't think it'd work.

I meant maybe that's what they meant, they said sequel but they could've menat remake or it has changed over time because Raimi has made enough money off of Spiderman why waste the time when he can hire new guys to do it for him and just watch on so they dont blow it

The original Evil dead is already too great to remake.....even with Raimi at the helm and Campbell I don't think it's too good of an idea. If they remake it we won't see no awesome Ash one liners instead we'll be stuck with...whiny crybaby ash again...

A sequel is a great idea though

I'd love to direct the remake.

O.k for the hell of it:

Who would you like to see play Ash:

Personally I think "Zach Braff" would work for the role.

Why not Bruce Campbell? He's not that old and even so that's magic of film

Personally it can't be worse than the first one in my opinion, I said before I liked the 3rd but not a giant fan of 1 and 2

PS. If you watch the amazon episode of hercules it was a movie to start it off or was sometime during the series anyways there's a camera shot on the first scene that reminds me a lot of shots in Evil Dead

Eventhough Sam was only a producer of sorts it was still a shot that reminded me of him and Evil Dead

If you're going to use Bruce Campbell; then why not make "Evil Dead 4" instead?

In an interview about the Evil Dead remake, Campbell commented that he and Raimi think an Evil Dead 4 would be a great thing to do, but they still want to do the remake. But if you go onto his website, http://www.brucecampbell.com   he states that they will not be making one.

Looks like its "Sad But True"

I read Bruce is not coming back as Ash, he does the game voices but...why not a part.  Maybe I'm wrong, I hope so, the character of Ash cannot be played by anyone other than Bruce (By the way is my Fav Actor, and Evil Dead is my fav movie)

I seen Bruce on television doing an interview, yes he's a cool actor and has a great voice for voice overs but he's let himself go. He couldn't play Ash again if he was paid 10 million to get in shape and dye his hair black.

Love the guys acting but they waited way to long... People are talking about making another Evil dead with Raimi and Campbell as Producers/Directors and have a new guy play a new character in the world.

That makes sense because it's called Evil Dead and not Ash. As long as Raimi and Campbell are involved 100% it couldn't turn out that bad.

I guess in time we'll find out, it's on IMDB which means somebody thinks it's going to happen.

Yes, it isnt called Ash, but Ash is the trademark of Evil dead, after Evil Dead 2 was Army of Darkness where Ash is the main character.  I agree that he cant play Ash, but I don't think it will be that good without Bruce... :'(

I seen Bruce Campbell vs. Army of Darkness as my first experience into Evil Dead, love that film so much I bought the DVD... I watched Evil Dead 1 and 2 on the channel SCREAM and I felt let down.

I'm going to have to watch them again some day but I wasn't a huge fan of the 2 originals.

I hate how disloyal film fans are. Turning on directors or actors for stupid reasons.

I'm P.O.'ed that Raimi doesn't give Campbell bigger roles in the Spiderman movies.  Those cameos are just silly.  IMHO, Bruce is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood today.

If Comic Book: The Movie would have given Bruce a bigger role it might not suck as bad as it does to everybody else but me cause I kind of like it.

Bruce needs a documentary made about his career, it would be something that would sell better and be great I think for all of his fans.

If Radio can get a documentary film, Bruce should get a real Documentary... If Bruce had a message board that he interacts with his fans like a Kevin Smith or Rob Zombie somebody should tell him this.

Ah, my first time watching 1 and 2, the memories.  Jr High, a girl told me about a movie that a girl is raped by a tree, I was wreided out then she told me I would like it, I watched it, and fell in love...I rented 2 and was let down, 2 is nothing more than 1 with new characters, and Army of Darkness I seen On Sci Fi, I now own Army of Darkness, working on getting the triogy on dvd.

My introduction to the 'Evil Dead' world was through the second part (which is pretty much a remake/recap of the first one anyway) as the first one was banned here in the uk for years.

Was never overly fond of the third one as, whilst it has some great moments, it's got too much '3 stooges type' slapstick comedy for my tastes.

The first one is fun but, when I finally saw it, it didn't really live up to the rep it earned through the bbfc banning. Still a good watch though...

Is that meant for me TC?

If so, yeah, Army Of Darkness - that's what I meant by the third part... I'm just not overly keen on it! :)
