do u know what would be awesome...if we had a thing where we could give out like some kinda prize to people...like the oscars...we can take subjects like: best character in a horror movie, best writer, and give have everyone vote and give these people some sort of reccomendation...that would be cool

[sarcasm]Y'know  what else might be awesome? If there was a website where amateur screenwriters could post their unproduced scripts and discuss them with other writers. Man, somebody should come up with something like that.[/sarcasm]

Sorry, but dude, what the hell? ;) You've been around long enough to post 166 times and you haven't wandered down to the Walters part of the board? Weird.

I got an idea as to why he didn't know... Because the walter awards are about as important as who picked you to be on their team in gym class.

Think about it~

We're barely livin' but we're livin' large and it ain't the ending that I fear~

Oh, wow. I didn't know. Never seen it.

Read the previous WALTERS script ... and then participate in this years' installment!  The thread includes a schedule of how it's being handled, and there's LOADS of opportunities for participating, such as contributing certain types of segments.  So check it out!

I hope you'll accept some late voting until the end of the week because I've been busy writing something that is a revision from being done and than I'll be free to send them.

I've filled out a lot of the categories with votes for my favorites but wont have them all complete even when I send them in because a couple of the categories are confusing.

The nomination deadline is past, and with respect to other awards formats, you can only vote on what's been nominated.  But seeing as how I haven't announced the nominations yet, and seeing as how only a few people actually sent in nominations, any "votes" that ANYONE sends between now and when I post the nominations (I'll be late on purpose) will count as nominations.  Please everyone look at the categories, and send your nominations to radiomovie2002@yahoo.ca

Traditionally, a person could only nominate one entry per category, but because barely any of the categories are filled yet, and because the deadline is "silently extended", anyone who sends nominations, can nominate UP TO THREE per category before the end of THIS WEEK.

I sent it in under the subject "Votes" because so if you get that you know to open it, while doing my nominations I noticed I don't believe a lot of the stuff I read deserves a nomination but the ones I really liked got nominations.

I got them.

EVERYONE:  The deadline for sending nominations, or -- if you prefer -- entire lists of suggested nominations (so that I can fill empty slots on the deadline)

... well, the deadline is NOON CST on March 1st.

Send everything -- nominations, and/or suggestions of who else should be nominated -- to radiomovie2002@yahoo.ca , with the title "nominations".

When are you going to announce the nominations?
Posted by: Alan_Holman (Guest), March 1st, 2005, 11:49pm; Reply: 13
In about fifteen hours.  It means anyone can still nominate until then.  Basically, until the nomination list appears in the WALTERS area, anyone can still e-mail suggestions for that list to me at radiomovie2002@yahoo.ca

And please nominate tonight, people, because this extension is the last one possible, and it's because not all spots are filled.

Alan, just sent some nominations through but forgot to put the Walters in the subject heading, hope they turn up in time.

Your nominations were sorted into the list.

About the list, it's looking pretty good.  A lot of scripts are represented.  I didn't expect so many people to actually send nominations.  Since I'm the only one who's actually seen the list, and since I'm the one who's sorted it all out, and since I've gotten some nominations without nominating myself, I've decided that it'd be unfair if I cast any nominations, because I'd only nominate myself anyway, because face it ... that's just the kind of guy I've been.

My point is:  I just got a phone call.  I've got an important meeting with a potential employer, for a job that involves fun levels of creativity, so -- long story short -- the deadline for sending nominations is unavoidably extended to tomorrow.  In other words, more nominations will be accepted until NOON CST Tomorrow.  Tomorrow afternoon, the list of nominations will be announced, and then the voting will begin.

Voting was going to be in the form of an online poll, but the results aren't secret that way, and the ceremony is devalued.  So voting will be in the form of e-mails, but to prevent me from commiting any sort of fraud, you must send votes to both myself and to Henrik.

Information about sending to two e-mail addresses at the same time will be provided with the list, along with the two e-mail addresses where you should send the votes.  A vote will not be counted unless the address line and/or the "Cc" line in an e-mail which I recieve indicates that the message was also sent to Henrik.

Confused?  It'll all be explained tomorrow afternoon.
