Hiya, I'm an aspiring screenwriter from .. many places. That darn 'aspiring' cloud has been hovering over my head since I started ... 5 years ago. Go figure. (I'm being sarcastic) Anyway, I've posted here once, then backed off for a few years to get the hang of screenwriting. I thinknowadays it's pretty safe to say I'm a writing fanatic . And I'm loving it now that I have my own computer. So ... I hope to meet more of you writing people. When I'm not writing screenplays I'm writing Fan Fiction for my favorite shows on TV StarGate Sg1 and X-files and various little short stories. Kind of a hobby for me, I hope to publish a book of them someday. - I'm uploading a new script soon, a short in the style of an Agatha Christie murder mystery or Diagnosis Murder or anything a tad below that. The Muder of Daniel Casabona ... I hope it works out, I always love feedback and always reciprocate.

Nice to be here! :)

You do know that if you attempt to publish a book you will get in a lot of legal trouble especially if it's of something that you do not have the rights for. And I believe it costs a lot of money or some very strong connections to get the rights to publish a book with anything but original stuff

But welcome and you probably knew that already

Nice to meet you, and thanks for the heads up but I actually meant I am going to publish a book of my own material, not the StarGate or X-files stuff. That's mostly hobby.

Thanks!  :)

Hi Macduff. Thanks for the greet.

I can't believe this is the first REAL screenwriters forum I've ever been on. *thwaps self*

I still wouldn't say it's "real" -- it's almost "real", though.  Most of us are still unproduced.  In my opinion, a good ratio of frequent posters to these discussions would be 30% produced writers, and %70 unproduced writers.  The produced writers should guide the unproduced ... AND the unproduced should guide the produced.  Just an idea.

I'm one of said unproduced writers and I'm loving it at the bottom, I have no real aspirations accept to help others get to where they want to be. Whether it's a friendly Hello, a review of a script, anything I can do I try to.

It's probably been my downfall but I'm happy with life unlikea lot of writers who are in a constant struggle.

Yeah, I'm still unproduced, and I'll probably stay unproduced for a while - though I am working on directing a couple scripts so I guess it sort of evens out.

I'll be produced soon, so that's exiting...I'm also keeping my fingers crossed about my current script that is at about 6 or so production companies...

Really, what's it called?

Welcome to the site, fellow writer beneath the aspiring cloud. There's plenty of us here. I'm unproduced, and will probably be unproduced the rest of my life. Not to say that's a bad thing.

It's called "Devil's Peak"....still keeping fingers crossed, but they're starting to get sore.

My short called "Looking Down From Above" is almost ready to be filmed by an independant production company....
