SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Getting to know you, getting to know all about you...  /  Getting around to this

I've been around for a month or so, and it has been fun watching the different personalities emerge through their posts.  Here is a quick sketch for those who might be interested.

I am a graduate student in Biochemistry, and writing is what I do when I am supposed to be doing something else.  My published work to date has been confined to scientific journals (nothing that would interest you, trust me...), but fiction, and the craft of screenwriting, have been a hobby for many years.

I have a computer full of stalled 1st and 2nd acts.  "The Farm" is the first project that has seen its way through to completion.  It's not perfect, but I am proud of it nevertheless.  I look forward to posting more work this summer, and hopefully putting "The Farm" through a rewrite based upon some of the excellent advice I have received from generous readers.

It has been fun reading some of the great (and even the not-so-great) stuff around here.  Sometimes, it borders on addiction.  Keep up the good work, and best of luck to everyone!

What is this "Banana Chan" of which you speak?

Yes, Alan...I don't think anyone who spends any time perusing these boards is going to miss it.

It has a firm spot on the "to read" list, but it has to wait until I have the time for something so voluminous.  I am awed by the feverish pace of your output.

That would be great if you give it a read.  I would appreciate whatever comments you have.

The thing at the bottom is called a "signature", and you can add one to the bottom of your posts by going to the same screen you used to put up your Paris pic.
