Aint It Cool News has a review of the latest draft of 'Jurassic Park 4'. If you think of the craziest plot twist for the franchise, it still won't be as off-the-wall wacky as what they reportedly have planned. But don't take my word for it - click away. And prepare for something of a shock.

The "teaser" and "script" are just photos of a single page.  Pretty disappointing.

But the script review from Ain't it Cool is really worth a look...this sounds absolutely insane, man!  Great?  Terrible?  Absolutely impossible to predict....

Why don't you save everyone the trouble of reading that long, drawn out, boring ass read and tell them what the plot is about... in a nut shell.

I want my 20 minutes back it took me to read thru all the B.S.

I gotta tell you that was the most boring read of my life... really.

Yeah, there is a lot of BS up front, but skip all that crap.

Just scooch ahead to the synopsis of the story.  I was amazed by its sheer audacity.

If this thing gets made consistent with this story, I will eat my socks.  But then I will go see it.

Yeah.  OK.  Some quick things:

*  A pterodactyl attack at a softball game; the dinosaurs have made it to civilization.
*  A return to the island to retrieve some DNA; introducing a new kind of dinosaur here -- apparently something akin to a trapdoor spider.
*  A genetically enhanced team of "superhero dinosaurs" -- really, it says this.

This sounds boring?

Yikes!

I have the trilogy and I must admit that I'm a fan (even though some of the movies are a little weak), but after reading some of the synopsis' on the web and these latest additions...all I can say is wow.

If this hits the big screen, I'll be shocked...it's definitely waaaaaay out there...but you never know, they might just pull it off....honestly...really...

I thought I posted something here that explained my feelings but it seems that it is not here, can this be going back to my disappearing posts thing...

I didn't mean the plot of the movie sounded boring. I meant the read to get thru the plot of the movie. That asshole who wrote it should loose his job. Imagine reading a screenplay that guy wrote, wow!

I think he's possibly the worst friggin' writer I've ever seen. He had nothing to say. This bothers me for some reason... he had nothing to say, but yet said it anyways, in front of giving us the plot. You know, the real reason he was there for to begin with.

Some people...

That could be a Seinfeld episode. I can see it now... George, Jerry, K-man or Elaine get a long letter from someone and it's so boring he/she can't finish it.

I seriously hope that none of that is true.  If it is, Ill write a letter.

thats right, a letter, with, like, complaints and stuff

that'll show em'

How many times is Sam Niell going to get into trouble with these creatures?  Doesn't he get it already?  Don't we get it??  The third was pure garbage, the second never lived up to the first(like MANY many sequels these days) and now, of course, a 4th just HAS to come out.

I don't care about any readings of the script, I will remain skeptical until this piece of crap comes out, then I can laugh at everyone for wasting their money to see it.

It was a picture of one page from the script, but it seems it has been deleted.

Steven Spielberg participated in a Q&A at the University of Southern California where he gave updates on both Jurassic Park IV and Indiana Jones 4. Here are several clips:

He is working with writers on the script to Jurassic Park IV and says that there is going to be a big dinosaur sequence where a pack of motorcycles are forced to out run a bunch of Raptors. Spielberg said that just with the other films in the series, he's going to "cherry pick" certain scenes he loved from the books and include them in the new film.

I just hope they do something new this time, sure the first 3 were really well done and still hold up today but I would really love an all out action film. (Like the video game Dino Crisis)

I have two requests:
1. Majectic, sweeping wide shots of dinosaurs.
2. Said dinosaurs proceeding to eat the shit out of humans.

If it meets those requirements I will be more than happy to watch.

It all goes back to trap door raptors. I can see it now.

Oh lord, how my twisted mind can see it now.

Finally an update.

Laura Dern recently talked with Collider.com and it seems that Jurassic Park 4 is moving forward and that her character, Ellie Sattler, will be back.

Check out the link above for more info.

I can't wait for the next installment!! My order of preference is 1, then 3 and then 2. Didn't like 2 at all.

Bring on part 4!! I don't normally go for all the sequels, but this is one I wouldn't mind watching on the big screen. That and Indiana Jones 4.

I love to see anything to do with dinosaurs!! Land Before Time, Dinosaur, all of that good stuff  ;D

Mine goes 1, 2, 3.

1 was great

2 was also great (don't know why people hate it so much).

3 sucked arse. It was like a slasher flick with dinosaurs. Ruined the whole thing.

But 4 is shaping up to be great. The writer of The Departed is working on the new version of the script, and that's enough to get me excited. And we're getting a familiar character back.

Cheers, Chismeister.

I'll tell you why two sucked in one word:  Gymnastics.

"Don't worry daddy" says jeff goldblums ethnic adopted daughter that he has trouble relating to, "I'll fight the dinosaurs with my gymnastic skills!"  I almost puked.

My order is the same as andy's.

The gymnastics things was like thirty seconds of a two hour film. Yes that was corny and cliched and whatever, but the rest of it was great. Much better than some stupid dinosaur with a snout and a fin smashing through an absolutely massive, thick as all bloody hell steel fence. Oh yes, and then the military is there like ten minutes after Satler makes the call. Of course.

One was excellent. I really enjoyed two. Three was a pile of raptor dung. We'll see how four goes.

Cheers, Chismeister.

So i was having this soup at a resteraunt the other day, and let me tell you, it was FANTASTIC.  i kept just eating it up.  But then I found what looked like a moldy finger and I went and threw up.

Similair thing happened with the lost world.

Well at least you got to enjoy most of a bowl of soup before finding the finger. Not like JP3 where there was no soup, it was just the finger.

And yes I realise that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Bottom line: I liked The Lost World. I know a lot of people had problems with it, but I didn't. I hated Jurassic Park 3 and I'm kind of on the fence about JP4. We'll see how the script comes out, but I have ever confidence in William Monohan as a writer. He wrote The Departed after all. But then again, he did write Kingdom of Heaven as well....

Cheers, Chismeister.
