In my never ending quest to discover new bands that I want to listen to in the age of bad music I found this band... The name caught my attention and i don't actually know how I heard about them.

Anyway I went out and bought Nothing is Sound and The Beautiful Letdown two of their studio albums and I must say that they are pretty good.

They are classified as "Christian Rock" I don't think these labels on music is really a good thing as people judge music before they hear it. Good music is good music and as always this is a personal opinion and doesn't mean that you will like them as much as i do or at all.

Anybody else even hear of this band?

I heard of them quite a while back when they first started up. I liked Meant to Live, mostly just the intro actually. They're not too bad. Not really my kind of music so they lose points right away, but they're still something I can listen to, unlike most of the stuff out there.

They're extremely popular here, like all over the radio, I've even seeen them in concert.  I really like them.

I don't think the lead singer's voice fits the rockin' 'Meant to Live' intro. Most of the guitar-heavy songs begin well but then have the lead-singer's voice... if you've heard Switchfoot, you know what I'm talking about. But I listen to the songs over and over again and I like them more and more. I have a few songs from Nothing is Sound and Learning to Breathe, and all of the Beautiful Letdown. Good band. The only thing against it is his voice sometimes.

I love switchfoot. I remember hearing their song "Dare You to Move" and I was like "That's a good song." My two favorite songs from them are now "Stars" and "Politicians".

I don't see why a lot of people don't like them, but I guess people have different tastes in music from rap to country to classical. But on my top ten list of bands, Switchfoot is somewhere on there.

Eventhough the one album gave me this damned rootkit and forced me to clean my hard drive I still bought all their albums.

The old stuff is pretty good, the new stuff sounds like they had the Hilary Duff voice tweak a little bit.

I like Switchfoot. I'm more into Christian music like Chris Tomlin, Third day, and country music. I don't men this junk they put out now. They have country rap now...can you believe it! Thats not country! Anyway, I like people like Hank Williams Jr., Hank Williams, Charlie Daniels, Johny Cash, ... people like that. But over lall, this is the best rock group I've heard in a while.
