NO SPOILERS :)
Since this was the number one movie this weekend I'm sure someone here has seen it but no one has posted their thoughts so let me be the first to do so. First off, if anyone cares what the critics think this movie got very good reviews from them (87% fresh last time I checked rottentomatoes) and I'd have to say I agree entirely. This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. A very finely crafted plot which will keep you guessing to the end with some good performances and some pretty cool directing thrown into the mix.

If you don't like Spike Lee's movies, don't worry. Although there are some parts where he tries to throw in his little touches about racism it doesn't detract from the main part of the story. It basically is as the trailers suggest. Clive Owen and his gang go into rob a bank which turns into a hostage situation. He requests strange demands and just like the hostage negotiator played by Denzel Washington we are in the dark for the most part on to what is really happening. THe big question is with all the police surrounding the bank how do the robbers plan to get away and what do they plan to get away with. Anyway, the bottom line is that if you like to be entertained by movies, especially those that are a little smarter and require more attention (although it's not overly confusing, you may miss a few things the first time but now much) then see this movie and don't let anyway discuss it with you before seeing it. It will ruin everything.

One only complaint I have which should not detract from seeing it is that the ending drags on a little too much. The last 15 minutes explains some stuff that anyone that had been half paying attention would have figured out on their own. Still, good stuff, and for a first time screenwriter to get Denzel Washting, Jodie Foser, Spike Lee and Clive Owen to take part is amazing.

Inside Man was my movie. The plot was tight, the story was beautifuilly told and the cast was solid.

The set up was similar to Heat but edgier and  less rushed.  The plot was thought provoking and unpredictable which made this film very watchable.

Clive Owen the Head robber was remarkably calm and cool.  I just loved the camio between himself and that little boy.  Very chucklesum.

Denzel Washihington was amazing and Jodie Foster pulled it off.

Inside Man is the most commercial movie Spike Lee has ever directed and I'm sure the box office won't make any losses on this one.

This was a pretty good flick, plus it has the best line I have heard in a movie in a real long time.
