SPOILER FREE REVIEW

Starts off as you typical horror movie. A girl running through the woods as the exciting music plays. The bad part about this is that it is not that exciting. But as the movie moves on and we get to know the characters we develop something we have never felt in a PG13 horror movie before. Why i believe it is a sense of feeling for the characters. With that said this movie does a wonderful job setting up everything and getting to know the characters. The good thing is each character has something different to contribute. Okay so far a bad beginning and good set up. Well what about the execute, the middle. In the middle is where the horror starts to happen. Yes, you have your typical cheap scares in the beginning but don't all horror movies have them. Get used to it. But the middle does something different. Nothing jumps out at you. Yes there are loud noises but throughout the whole middle you have this feeling that something will happen. Yes, sometimes something will happen and scare the living daylight outta you and then sometimes nothing will happen which is when you feel relieved. And let me add the setting of this movie is beautiful. Everything they used in this movie stands out amoung anything you have ever seen before. And now the ending... i can't really review the ending without giving spoilers but i can say a few things. It's like the sixth sense (no not the same ending) Some will see it coming and some will not. But i personally think maybe 1 out of every 20 people will get it. Only because it has never really been used before.

If anyone wants to know more that would involve spoilers, PM me.

Overall - 9/10

I'm very excited to see this movie as I loved the sneak peak trailer released after a screening many moons ago. Looked awesome.

Can't wait to see it.

I actually want to see this just because I know it is the same director behind the hillariously god awful "Dungeons & Dragons."  Yet, I've heard that "Haunting" is quite good.  It's always interesting to see how a director learns from movie to movie.
