Geraldine by Corinne Camden - Comedy - The year is 1984, Madonna was like a virgin, Cindy Lauper just wanted to have fun and George Michael wanted you to wake him up before you go go. At the same time, Geraldine, a seventeen years old girl was dreaming of Bobby of the popular boy band, New Act. All she wanted was a chance to see him so he could fall in love with her. The day finally arrives but everything seems to go wrong. First her mom has to work and can't make the eight hours drive with her and then she misses the only bus that can take her to the concert in time. She goes home devastated but her "Billy Idol Wannabe" next door neighbor offers to drive her there. Along the way they'll encounter bad luck after bad luck. In the end she'll get to meet the love of her life but will it turn out to be the one she thought? 89 pages - pdf, format 8)

Refreshing, it's the first word in mind. No surprises, but nice road movie, visibly influenced by John Hugues films. Nicely written - and surely full of personal remembrances?
