Starring Mili Jovavich (RESIDENT EVIL 1, 2, 3). This is a movie about the future. it has what people call 'vampires'. Violet is a vampire that can go out in the day. She was pregnant, but her baby died 12 years ago. she finds a 12 year old boy. when she finds him, she gets a flashback of her being pregnant. but guess what, he wasn't her son. he was a clone of someone else.

In my oppinion, this movie overall sucked. the graphics and diolauge were okay, but the plot sucked. I would recommend watching this movie, because it is pretty exciting if you push off the thought of it sucking.

I must agree, illegally download it and risk going to prison before buying it.

Normally I enjoy Milla Jovovich and her small... wrong thread, I am thinking of resident Evil.

The movie was pretty and the dialogue by Milla was on par with Mortal Kombat 2. I'm not joking either, she sucks with dialogue.

I was just shocked by he production values of this film as well as the lack of resolution and overall plot. Sure we want to show more than talk about it, but serious, throw us a freakin' bone at some point. Both of the main characters were supposed to die. Neither did. I don't understand why. The battle sequences were just silly. They'd all stand there and stare at each other for a long enough moment to ensure the movie dragged out to 90 minutes but when the fighting began, it bordered on ridiculous. PG-13 might be the reason, but no blood? Ever? It was hard to take it seriously. The major battles were too easy to win. The final battle was ridiculous. The twist at the end was ok, but it really didn't surprise me. I was kind of curious about this film because of the remote similarity to Fempiror from the synopsis. I think my idea is perfectly safe from this film. This film was clearly directed to fans of the comic it was lifted from and almost completely alienates anyone else who attempts to view it.

I think the saddest part is that this was a film tat had a shred of an original twist on an old concept, but simply failed in the execution to have any staying power.

Milla Jovovich cannot act. Her dialogue makes me nervous because I know it will ruin the film.

Why do movies these days say, "What are you doing, huh" I hate it when they add that huh at the end. It has to be a pet peeve or something because it annoys me so much.

Bloodrayne also had this and look how bad it flopped.

Stop the pain already Milla, just get naked in Resident Evil and let the trained actors talk. She has gotten naked in about how many of her "popular" roles. That's her gift, being naked. Same with Jennifer Tilly.

Just watch Dancing at The Blue Iguana (It has many famous girls stripping naked in it) that is a soft-core porn flick if I have ever seen one and yet they market it as a film. I purchased it for research... Honest.

I guess the low budget of Equilibrium really brought out the best in Wimmer, because Ultraviolet is a mess.  Everything that was cool in Equilibrium is taken to the next level and made idiotic...with more CG to boot.

Bleah.

Have you seen The Claim or Dummy? Milla Jochovich is actually a pretty fine actress, even though she oftes appears in...'dodgy' films.

I happen to like her way about herself. Even in Million Dollar Hotel and The Messenger - not great movies as such - she's pretty good.

And I just love her voice. The amazing songstress Regina Spektor (who was born in Russia) sings with a similar voice, which I just can't resist!

I saw this movie about a week ago, and it was horrible.  I never heard of this Kurt Wimmer before and I heard he had a really good movie called Equillibrium that I haven't seen yet, but if this is the type of movie he makes, I don't think I want to see it.

The plot line was ridiculous.  I hate this chase movies with kids attached.  The kid is only there to try and make Milla's character more human but it just makes the movie more cheesy.

And don't get me started on that final battle.  "Oh, it's on."

Yeah...it is.

If you're into action you really should check-out Equillibrium, Guy. The plot in itself is a rather trite rehash of sci-fi classics such as Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World and 1984, but the action sequences are amazing! Especially considering the budget.

What was great about it was how antithetical they were to The Matrix' slow-motion and bullet-time. In Equillibrium the gun fights are executed like martial arts - fast and acrobatical.

I have always been a fan about the future books about, movies. I loved this movie. I bought it when it came out and saw it in theatres. It was a great movie. I think it could have been a lot better but it was still and excellent movie.

I was looking forward to seeing this movie when it came out but had to wait for it to come out on DVD. When it only lasts in the theaters for 2 weeks should tell you something is wrong.

I finally got to see it and was very dissappointed with the final outcome. It could have been a lot better but...

I personally think Milla is a fine actress. But than again. I'm a sucker for zombie flicks and her getting naked  ;)

look, there's no doubt about it. Mili Jovavich is a fine actress. It's just the films like Ultraviolet that ruin her reputation. I thought she did a pretty good in Resident Evil and The Messenger. But you can't blame the actress, it's the writer of the script that made the crappy diolauge and the crappy scenes.

This movie was pretty bad. I went to the theaters to see it and many people walked out. The visual effects were terrible. Almost as bad as "A Sound of Thunder". It was going nowhere. It was like they made it all up as they went along. Milla Jovovich said in an interview that she was disappointed at the outcome of the film and that the director promised her much more. I wanted to like this but...I couldn't.
